I picked up this little fella with a Christmas gift card. I was never going to get it because it was too pricey. But a $30 sale and a gift card put it in reach.
I'm pretty thrilled with the sound that comes out of this little fella.
Lighting - no flash. Just natural light bounced off some aluminum foil.

I am increasingly loving this little Bluetooth speaker. Made an impromptu hotel party possible this weekend.

I love this speaker and encourage you to check one out. I use it with my cell phone to make conference calls and use it with my laptop and Ipad, great sound. Jawbone if your listening throw me some love. Playing around with a 55 Nikon macro lens.

Back at the desk I simply connect to the many-years-old Jambox BlueTooth speaker while I work. Each morning (unless I catch it the previous night) I listen to the latest episode of "DTNS."
I didn't really have a large selection of trains to photograph at Kentland when I was a kid, and #204 was one I could count on to appear around 11 am to noontime somewhere.
Today, southbound Soo Line train #204 accelerates through Kentland, Indiana on July 9th, 1987 at 11:20 am. Train had the following in it's consist:
SD40-2's Soo 765-767-Milw 157
64 cars (22 hoppers [Milw-Soo-WISX], mixed freight and 1 trailer)
Soo Line cupola caboose #14
Running on a clear signal today. Train is coming by the location of the former NYC passenger depot, platform can be seen at right. I would drag out a lawn chair and cooler and sit here. Would also have my jambox tuned into WAZY in Lafayette. Sometimes it was a long wait for this train, on occasion he wouldn't show up until 3 or 4. If he was really late, he would have to pull into the siding at Sheff and meet northbound train #201. They stopped using the siding at Sloan around this time due to severe track issues which I don't recall were ever fixed, so Sheff it would be.
Soo Line SD40-2's #765 & 767 were built by EMD in March and November of 1973.
Milw SD40-2 #158 was built by EMD in July of 1972.
