We watched 5 different Parasitic Jaegers harass the gull and tern flock at Hollyrood Pond on 12 Jul 06.
I shot this New England seabird while walking on the beach in Gloucester MA. I took several pictures of this beautiful bird.

Jack (his lighter version here) and I visited Presqu'ile today to have a gander at any shorebirds—while there we were alerted that a parasitic jaeger was just down the beach from Owen Point. I've only seen jaegers flying, so it was particularly interesting to see this one on the ground.
As we turned to watch a C-17 on approach to CFB Trenton, it must have taken off because as we turned back to look at the bird, it was gone.
