Jacarandas can reach 25 to 40 feet in height with an equal or greater spread. The flowers as you can see are absolutely gorgeous, flowering in the spring for a few months and then again in the fall. The tree in the photo is probably at least 20 feet high. I am on higher ground looking down towards the tree. The bright orange flowers are Mexican bird of paradise flowers. These are the best landscaping plants for this extreme heat area. The bush with the white little flowers is a wild bush called Creosote also known as Chaparral, they seem to do just fine with zero water.
That time of the year... again in the park in Goodna.
Just a week ago this park was a centre of Jacaranda festival, but I prefer to come here when no crowd.
This photo was take out near The University of Queensland in the middle of October when the jacaranda's were looking awesome!

The Jacaranda's are blooming around Sydney and I particulalrly love these Jacaranda trees in Circular Quay. I went for a quick sunrise shoot during the week to capture the sun as it lit them up.
I hope you enjoy this image.

El jacarandá es un árbol bastante habitual en América del Sur. Sus flores son preciosas y en esta época suelen tapizar las veredas y calles.
Gran semana para todos!
The jacaranda tree is fairly common in South America. Their flowers are beautiful and at this time usually cover the sidewalks and streets.
Great week for everyone!

Very spectacular all around Sydney.
Big boat says "Carnival Legend" if you know about world cruise ships very well ...
Jacaranda started blooming all over Sydney. When they're fully open, so spectacular. And we know summer is very close.
