Backlit Stylized Jacaranda Fronds

Either it's a good year for the Jacarandas or I've just been noticing them more than in previous years or both. I was going to say that the ones that are down the street from us have all bloomed out, but tonight I noticed that our next door neighbors have one that is still blooming and beautiful. This tree is where the hummingbirds that I shot yesterday feed. Then they come down to the fountain to get a drink.

Another viewpoint on a street in Applecross, Perth.

Another shot of the neighbour's tree, a nicer day with clear sky.

.... is located in Raymond Terrace, NSW, on a street appropriately named "Jacaranda Avenue".

This is the front street of my house! it's time for Jacanranda Blossom,a native tree from South Africa. This photo was taken yesterday afternoon.

I just love to see them so much... i am quite lucky that i stay in the suburb with a lot of Jacaranda trees. Each year November, my front street will be covered with all these purple flowers... they are amazing!!

It's that time of the year. The Jacaranda trees are all in flower

Hi dear Friends I hope you and your lovely family are all fine

A beautiful big tree that only grows in hot dry climates the Jacaranda is a native to South and Central America but is also popular in Australia and southern California. A pale lavender color that is rarely seen. The bloom last for about a month each year and trees live for about 50 years. It is tall and roots take a lot of space. Cheers.

PS: Tell Spotify, Alex, Siri and Amazon to play music by JOHN WILLIAM HAMMOND (use all 3 names) -a variety of folk, pop and more.

flowering a bit late but putting on a good show now💜

A lone Jacaranda on a hill in Boonah.

The jacarandas have put on their usual magnificent show in Sydney Australia this year and I used the occasion to organize a portrait shoot with this little angel.

She was totally engrossed with the flowers that formed part of the purple carpet and quite a few handfuls made it home in the back of the car.

Hope you all have a merry Christmas and all the best for 2016.

Thanks for your views favs and comments in 2015

Final two pix of some of this season's Jacarandas flowering in Newcastle, Australia.

It's almost as if the trumpet flowers of Jacaranda are playing their fanfare as one walks amongst these most beautiful flowering trees.

I can get quite lost in the melody within my mind.

Given the huge number here, the trees are often mistaken for being Australian natives; but they are endemic to South America.

Growing to around 20 m.

Focus stack done in Zerene Stacker. Effective but very time consuming process....the editing, that is. Zerene did an excellent job. Editing with other software is what takes the time.
