Jacaranda time is exam time in Brisbane.
The final year exams are always done when the Jacarandas bloom.
The small purple flowers don't last long on the tree, then drop constantly laying a purple carpet underneath.
This is SOOC and taken in front of the Cathedral.

The whole of Sydney has been purple with Jacaranda flowering everywhere the last 2-3 weeks. It must be coming to the end as the petals are dropping now and it heats up for summer!
The lighting was quite flat when I took this, the sun was behind clouds. But somehow it worked for this image!

Florida gives you the chance to see trees in blossom during many months throughout the year, but the classic springtime month of April is when you can capture the lilac blooms of the jacaranda tree. This view of a neighbour's tree is my first blue-sky photograph in a full month of self-isolation. Observing Mother Nature has been a great consolation.
That's poppy bokeh, in case you were wondering. I couldn't decide whether to crop out the dark area at the top left or leave it there to sort of emphasize the boundary of the poppy garden. Oh, well . . . it's Spring!
