Well, the threat of rain went away so Erika wanted to do some Aldi shopping at Raymond Terrace because on the way we had to drive via the Jacaranda alleyway, and how nice that turned out to be. 😁👏
I came across this on my morning walk. It was dangling about three feet above the sidewalk. By getting down on the ground, I was able to get the sky behind it. The main challenge was following it in the viewfinder, as it was bobbing around quite a bit.

A beautiful old and flowering Jacaranda stands gracefully in front of St John's Anglican Church hall which was built in 1906.

Jacaranda
Deze boom is een van de weinige blauw bloeiende bomen,
en is prachtig om te zien . De jacaranda is een
naaktbloeier, maar niet in elk klimaat. In feite bloeit
Jacarandas usually blossom around October in Brisbane; however the flowering season has become earlier in the past two decades.
Some speculate that this is due to global warming, with hot weather and an earlier rain season definitely having an impact on when the magnificent trees bloom.
Jacaranda trees - I think that's what these are - are full of their beautiful purple shades all over the valley.

So many people say "Oh look how beautiful the Jacaranda are" but I want to tell you how big a pain in the ass these trees are. The flowers fall all over the place. They stick to your car. The leaves fall with little twigs that have to be raked up. And they drop this black dust that makes a mess. But, they are beautiful, when they're blooming.
The jacarandas have been an extravagance of purple this year. This one, in the little town of Blackbutt, looked particularly nice against an old Queenslander house.
