I got a thank you card today in the mail from my grrl Yvette. Some of you might recall the gift I sent her as a pick me up after her surgery. She looooved the gifts! Tee hee!

Today started off with a nice outing with my photo walk friends for dim sum. After a walk through Kensington Market and a nice latte, I went up to Dufferin Grove Park for Day of Delight put on by Clay and Paper Theatre.
It was a very delightful day!

"words to be spoken
words for my friends
words for the beginning
words for the end
build me up from the ground
show me up
and I will show you down
sometimes when I'm sad
I see you smile on a piece of paper
it makes me smile"

I love it when this orchid lifts its head to show off.
Not the best setting for this shot but I had rush a little. Better photos of this beauty to come!

It was a cold and rainy weekend here in Toronto. It was a weekend that called for homemade chicken soup so I got to it. Yum yum!
Had a funny incident though with the veggies I sauteed up. I bought some nice purple carrots. When I ladled the broth over the noodles and veggies, the colour from the carrots turned the broth purply! ;p

Feeling a bit better today but still stuffy and sniffly. :p
But I did get out for a walk and went to Kensington Market to pick up some ammunition for this cold - home style soup, chicken broth, garlic, ginger, honey, etc. I made some tea with fresh sliced ginger and honey. and then some of the soup with two cloves of chopped raw garlic and spinach. If it doesn't scare away the cold, hopefully it will at least keep the vampires away!
Spied this on the walk home with my goodies and it made me smile. Glad I was at least able to get out for awhile.
Now it's nap time.

A new sign on Tecumseth! The sign had been taken down for the longest time and I was *this* close to putting a little note on the window saying "We miss your signs!" but it's baaaaaaaaaaack!! :)

Is it still guerilla knitting when it's not quite knitting and it's outside of a knitting store??
Some cheery colour in Kensington Market on a grey day. But also on my way to meet my friend Stefan who is in Toronto from Prince George. It was a wonderful afternoon and evening out together. :)
