GET AWAY.................... Laziness n procrastination are my new FRIENDS now, I wake up everyday inspired to create images but I end up not creating one. My excuses are : I have a full term paying job , I can create 20 good images in a day etc... And I haven't made a single image for more than 4months now. 42 days until Christmas...

...and so a dedication to my Gramps from Level 42.

In my Gramp's old car was a tape. No one knows how it got there or where it came from.

It was a mix tape. No one knows who made it or why.

We listened to this tape, almost every time we were in the car, for years, until he passed away in 2007.

Among the many songs that I'd never heard before was Level 42's "It's Over"

Perhaps, this isn't the happiest song on the tape, but right now it seems the most apt.

It broke my heart when he died, and I don't think it's ever been fixed, but I'll never forget our time in his old 'jalopy'; the music, the laughter, the chats, and the love we shared.

It's over and today is a sunny crisp winter day , we got over 30cm ( 1 foot ) and I shoveled 3 times + had to take the snowplow offering right after this shot . If my Doc tells me I need more exercise I'll slap him up side the head with my shovel !

Wampler & I left this note on the door to Jason's cabin (he works for the Forest Service). On the flipside was an invite for dinner (kung pao chicken around a campfire). There is no Susie though Jason said he did ponder it for a moment...until he flipped it over and realized it was just us.

Day 254 of 365

Today was an emotionally draining day. First there was the funeral. I was in tears for a lot of it. My Aunt and Cousin (older brother to Jared) both wrote letters to Jared that were read during the funeral. I did a reading. It was a good service as far as those things go.

Afterwards I spent some time with Charlie at my brother's house where my sister-in-law, brothers, husband, and I got to enjoy each other's company. Funerals really remind you of what's important. Nya wasn't there because she was off getting a haircut.

After this Charlie and I went to Burlington to eat a sandwich and go to the mall. I got a couple of things for camp/vacation next week and Charlie got to show off his magic tricks for some great people in Vermont Toy and Hobby.

My day started terribly and ended up with some great things... like this shot, taken in my brother's yard.

Random Fact: I'm glad today is over. Tomorrow is the start of my vacation and Saturday starts Charlie's. We're going down to dogsit my Toby at camp for a week.
