From 1987 to 1991, Balmin was playing in the Vysshaya Liga (2nd best Russian League). 14 seasons with Itil Kazan, later Bars Kazan and 4 years with Neftekhimik in the Russian Hockey League followed, before Balmin retired at the end of the 2007/08 season. His career-stats: GP:1044 / G:67 / A:184 / Pts:251 / PIM:736 (1987/88 – 2007/08).

 

After retiring from active hockey, Balmin worked as a Coach. He spent the first 6 seasons as an Assistant Coach for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the KHL and later worked with Irbis Kazan in the MHL. From 2018/19 to 2021/22, he was an Assistant Coach of Bars Kazan in the VHL.

"Entrei no Infnet buscando uma graduação mais prática e sem ter conhecimento prévio na área. Entrei em uma turma onde a maioria tinha experiência de mercado e no mínimo algum conhecimento na área. Nos primeiros trimestres tive que correr atrás do prejuízo, estudei muito todo o conteúdo passado em aula e busquei materiais extras indicados pelos professores. Tive muitos professores excelentes que me acompanharam e me incentivaram ao longo do curso. Com 6 meses de curso já consegui meu primeiro estágio em TI e depois de mais 3 meses consegui um estágio na Unimed Federação que me rendeu o meu primeiro emprego em muito pouco tempo. Meu objetivo sempre foi passar em um concurso público, trabalhar em um lugar que me desse segurança, retorno e prazer de trabalhar. Mesmo ainda faltando 2 anos para me formar, comecei a estudar para concursos a todo momento que eu tinha livre: no ônibus, no fim de semana, de noite e no almoço. A biblioteca do Infnet, com toda a bibliografia que eu precisei, foi de grande ajuda! O foco do curso de Gestão de TI também facilitou muito meus estudos, pois quase nenhum candidato aprende ITIL, Cobit e PMBOK na faculdade e tem que começar do zero, enquanto eu tive uma boa base. Meus rendimentos nas provas foram aos poucos melhorando até que consegui me classificar nas vagas em alguns concursos. Passei na UFF (1º), Investe Rio (6º) até que veio minha classificação na Petrobras Distribuidora, 1º lugar para analista de sistemas - infraestrutura, a única vaga imediata! Meu TCC já estava pronto, mas ainda não havia defendido e nem colado grau. Procurei os professores para formar a banca e marcar a defesa. Pedi ajuda a equipe do Infnet para colar grau antes da minha turma e consegui! Deu tudo certo e no tempo certo! Logo em seguida recebi o resultado que havia passado para a Petrobras (10º) também. Depois de trabalhar quase um ano na Petrobras Distribuidora, fui chamada para a Petrobras, onde eu estou hoje muito feliz e com mais um sonho realizado. Agradeço muito aos professores e funcionários, todos que ouviram minha história, torceram por mim e me ajudaram.
