This is one picture which I click instantly and later find it much more exciting as I was expecting :) The best part in this composition are "V" formed by nature. Surprisingly, every line in this picture is creating a 'V", smaller or bigger :)

This picture was shot in front of Cornell Ornithology Lab, in Ithaca (NY).

Like most places, there are always lots of repairs to do on the lines.

Here you go Cindy, the movement is very subtle so look closely!

ODC-Urban & Country Roads

This area is located on the West side of Cayuga Lake and is made up of mostly rural and country roads. This road leads to Rt. 96 that goes south into Ithaca, NY. or north into Trumansburg, NY. That's my neighbour Bill walking Paula his Greyhound rescue. She is such a sweetie.

This little guy was in a restaurant with his mom in Ithaca, NY.

We went for a visit to the Cayuga Nature Center this afternoon. This stairway lead down to a small gorge. It was so beautiful!

What started out to be a rather dull day ended up being a very beautiful sunny day. It got up to 76'F and there was a cool breeze off the lake. It was so nice and the humidity went away.

Weather Undergound Forecast

Looks like a wet time ahead for us. We need the rain!

I wonder what is in this truck.

Next on water week is this B&W waterfall. This is a three exposure HDR again, exposed at: 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 150 seconds. Waterfalls are certainly my favorite way of capturing water, so I at least needed to include one in my water week. There may be another one tomorrow, haven't decided yet.

Hope everyone enjoys this image! :^)

I had to take a photo of the inlet. It was very busy.

Snapped this on the way home from Trumansburg this morning.

It was such a gorgeous day we decided to visit Buttermilk Falls so Chloe could go to the big playground there and have some fun! I took this with my new iPhone 11. I think the dual camera is really good!

I snapped this during the Apple Harvest Festival in Ithaca, NY.

This sign is near the sidewalk on West Buffalo Street. I took this through the Jeep window.

ODC-Autumn

I had some shopping to do at the Co-op this morning and this is what greeted me as I approached Cayuga Inlet. With the cooler temperatures, the mist is rising from the water. This is definitely an indication that Fall is here.

This Ice Cream shop has since closed down.

I just happened to look up and there they were!

With so much water around us there are quite a few bridges in this area.

The Flickr Lounge-From Fall To Spring

This is one of my favourite spots to stop and photograph on the way home from Trumansburg, NY.

This is a three exposure HDR again. The exposures were at 15, 30, and 50 seconds. This waterfall is pretty out in the open because of its large size, so very hard not to overexpose and get a good flow. Last Sunday was very overcast so I thought I would give it a try, and taking multiple exposures really helped also. I'm very pleased with the final results here.

I hope everyone enjoys this image. :^)

Fence Friday

One of these days I'm going to stop here and walk over this.

We are not getting much rain so the falls aren't flowing through the forest very well.

I liked how this display was made with the body of the T-Rex painted on the wall but it's head is coming out and is 3D. This is at the Museum Of The Earth.

Sliders Sunday

I went to the Museum Of The Earth en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_of_the_Earth with my sister and her hubby who were visiting from Canada. We took lots of photos and this was a huge poster on the wall showing some of the plants that lived in the waters in the Finger Lakes in Upstate, NY where I live.

This is going on as I'm typing this. We are at the moment being rained on severely. I am enjoying it, it's thundering and lightning too. We sure needed this bad. We are to get .81" of rain, that's a lot for one rainstorm.

ODC-So Small

I was so happy to see the sun this morning and it was nice because I was able to see this small flock of birds flying over Cayuga Lake.

Bench Monday

We went out for supper yesterday and decided to take a walk through the Ithaca Commons before going home. I'm glad we did, it's a lovely place to walk since no cars are allowed there.

What a gorgeous day here in the Finger Lakes. It's really hot outside and It feels more like summer than spring today! In for some Thunder Boomers tonight, I hope! This is one of the many ponds that dot the landscape along the road where I live.

This park runs parallel along Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY.

It was really nice to see the sunrise this morning. I haven't posted a photo in a while due to the ice fog that's filled the East Cayuga Lake Valley for many days. However, a Nor'easter is supposed to arrive in the northeast this weekend. The major part of the storm is in New England and the coast but we could feel some of the effect from the storm since we're on the outer band of it's impact.
