they always have a never ending supply of greens to munch on... and this one didn't want to stop!!
My first year raising them and they are surprisingly easy to care for... as long as you have enough herbs!!
To date I have released 63 with a lot more to feed and many more eggs to go...
The waters of Reflections Lake in the Palmer Hayflats are beginning to melt, especially at the margins where you can see that band of translucent blue. The only green are the evergreens as things have not budded out yet. In some ways it's a very stark environment but that's what it's like near the end of April for us.

It was dull and grey but the winter plumage of this Horned Grebe blended in well with the rippling water.
An optimistic Monday afternoon. The weather forecast looked promising for the clouds to break up just enough for a nice sunset. Unfortunately it wasn't too be. It did provide some interesting, muted copper and blues in the sky though.
I don't hope so, cause you don't have to sleep in a church. ; )) Perhaps the reason why there was' nt someone inside....
Abstract.
I saw what I wanted this to look like on screen the moment I saw it through the viewfinder. Funny things abstracts.
It rained last night, but the sun was bright this morning. As I was looking for birds, I saw these lovely new blooms with big rain drops on it.
during the time of the Japanese samurai, Kakure Kirishitan (hidden christian) tomb in Hirado, Japan, was built to face Rome, which is in the west,.

"t’s time to move on", said the little spider and disappeared into the wildernis of the garden. I'm sure she found a wonderful new home for her eggs. ;-))
Happy weekend ahead :-))

The second upload from the recent visit to Gauxholme, albeit taken some 40 minutes earlier to the one shared a week or so ago. The cloud was still in the process of burning off and there was a hint of mist in the valley, all making the light a bit softer.
Knowing I'd be snapping DMUs for a while I adopted a different position which I thought suited shorter trains. Luckily a brief interlude of sunshine over the viaduct coincided with the passing of this CAF class 195, unit 195108, working Northern's 10.58am Manchester Victoria - Leeds service (1J08).
If you follow the valley around, you can just see the elegant outline of the classically designed Todmorden Town Hall. Built in 1875, it's certainly one of the most striking, and perhaps even the finest, of buildings in these parts.
A steep-sided valley notorious for the three forms of transport competing for space on its narrow floor, in addition to the railway, you can see the Rochdale Canal and the A6033 road to Manchester in the frame.
Still catching up after a few days away so commenting is turned off for this one, thanks. Better viewed full-screen.
