My first time walking around Brisbane with camera in hand. Must say it is a beautiful city but your very limited on angles to shoot and locations.

This is one of those shots that I love doing where you turn up to a location with very little light where your light meter wont even give you a reading yet and you start with F16 and around 8 minutes and then monitor the light during the exposure and if your light meter begins to work then you finish the exposure around the 6 min mark. This is the result :)

Shot on the Fuji GX617 | 90mm lens | Velvia 50 of course.

I add alot of new images and behind the scene shots on my facebook feed so click here to have a look and hit like if you want. My main website with over 800 + images: www.mattlauder.com.au

*sorry this is so crappy. I had to cut shooting short because I'm allergic to band aids (yeah wtf?) and started breaking out. Not what I wanted but I hope the sender can understand :/*

"It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!" ~ Mark Twain

Food for thought:

"People can be divided into three groups: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened." : ) John Newborn

Just as Spring time is the land Awakening, it is also a good time to press the restart button for our own awakening...and if you're like me, there is always something in my life to "wake up" and find good reason to "press that restart button." Like this photograph, at first things may seem a little blurry, but slowing but surely things come into focus as we step out into the land of change! It's a wonderful thing and so freeing!

Have a great Wednesday in all you do!

And keep up those beautiful, stunning and unique captures! You all are amazing!

It's been a busy few weeks, and tonight I was at a local meeting with other podiatrists (I think they call it a murder), so on the way home I grabbed some shots and combined them in elements.

must have been in a good mood, or just lazy ..has been a hot day

Do you think fence friday came about because they both start with F or because on the other side of each is freedom? :))

Photographing your wife peeing in the woods, what else could be more perfect?

.....what I'm guessing a bumble bee might say if you asked what it feels like to land on this anemone to gather pollen.

Waiting out Irene, we've been in the early bands of torrential rain since last last night. 3+ inches so far and another 8-10 hours of rain to go. Winds are just beginning to pick up. Amazing to see roads closed and a series of local dikes set up in anticipation of flooding - the first time in more than 20 years that's happened.

Yesterday Rona visited her sister in Munich and we took the chance to meetup and shoot a lot of photos :) Thank you again Rona for the wonderful day and I'm so proud you made it through all the efforts while feeling ill! We had to fight hard battles again the sun and hills and rude people and 128731234651 ants but still it was so much.

This is one of the last photos of the day when we managed to catch this beautiful light in the Olympia Park.

We were visiting the neighbours of this boy north of Mt Meru, in Tanzania, and he spent at least half an hour pulling faces in the back of our truck mirror.

Yes I know it's not Friday. I haven't really got a clue what day of the week it is.

So here is a little pre Christmas joy for some of you.

I just heard that ppl do this in order to protect in rough parking situations...

Beefy sitting in the passenger side seat of the car today after his vet appointment to follow up with him after his surgery.

He is doing really well; his stitches and surgery opening are healing very well and his blood tests all looked really good!

Yay!

Oh, and this is another iPhone shot edited with the BeFunky app.

Thank you all again for helping Beefy and I through this hard time!

there.

but you can't comment :)

It's weekend "Slow" time :)

It amazes me how small a balcony can be and why bother. I guess you could put a plant out there. Those are windows so I don't know if those count as balconies. I'm not sure what they are. I just needed to come up with some kind of title I guess.

A wet Saturday afternoon so I decided to try something different with the splash art kit. Not an original idea as I have seen this done before.

Full fat milk in the egg for the white and milk again with a drop of food colouring for the yolk.

Off to the Photography Show tomorrow. Happy Days...

Sears At East Towne Mall opened in 1971 and it's 107,157 Square Feet. It serves the working class section of Madison. Unfortunately, this store will be closing in September 2020 and it was the last Sears in Wisconsin. This store I always thought would closed since it's away from other Sears stores but I never wanted it to closed cause this store in the later years was serving much of the upper midwest as well. There was so many people where this was it closest Sears due to other upper midwest Sears stores closing. This closure is a big hit to the mall which is having a few vacancy issues as of my trip here in February 2020

It looks like she's smiling while planning something to do, doesn't it? xD

Country: Italy

Location: HUPAC Terminal Gallarate

Train: ES64F4 from SBB Cargo and DB G2000.

For a lifetime we have taken this weather—our thoughts and feelings—to be ourselves, taken ourselves to be this video to which the attention is riveted. Stillness reveals that we are the silent, vast awareness in which the video is playing. To glimpse this fundamental truth is to be liberated, to be set free from the fowler’s snare (Ps 123: 7). “Who ever trusts in the Lord is like Mount Zion: Unshakeable, it stands forever” (Ps 125: 1). “Mount Zion, true pole of the earth, the great King’s city” (Ps 48: 2).

-Martin Laird, Into the Silent Land

17/52 This is just a very brief segment of the ice cream truck's tune. It gets extremely old extremely quickly but the first time you hear it means the windows are open, kids and dogs are outside and it's warm enough outside that eating something cold like ice cream sounds appealing.

You might notice those flowers I was buying last week are now in pots.

It does not feel like a sad friday today. Certainly not a sad bokeh friday. This is the best I can do today. Some orange berries on a leaf close to being plucked clean by the birds. Is it sad? The birds ate the berries. The berries will return next year. It was a little chilly. But the sadneressness? Not rly.

Come post better. You will not make me sad though. It is umpossible.

We saw some of blue sky a short time

It's a late winter afternoon as vehicle train rolls through Christie, almost at its destination of Richmond

... where you can walk up "Heuberg" (hay mt.) to see the meadows covered with crocus blossoms.

This year it's not as spectacular as 2 years ago, but better than last year and in every case: Something not to be missed.
