They're Burning down the Churches.
Canada Day July 1st 2021, The traditional proud and celebratory Canadian national holiday, aka Canada Day, has been interrupted this year by a disturbing string of violent acts and massive property destruction. Arsonists have attacked defenseless Christian Churches causing severe damage and in many cases the burning to the ground of 100 year old historic churches and their contents that include irreplaceable documents and invaluable historic artifacts .

Central Heights Church, Abbotsford, BC. Abbotsford Police are investigating a July 21 arson incident at Central Heights Church. A suspect described as 30-40 years old, male, dark-skinned and wearing a bright yellow rain jacket with a grey baseball hat is being sought by authorities.

St. Mary’s Parish, Prince George, BC.
On July 26, a suspect placed two containers of gasoline near St Mary’s Parish church and lit them on fire. The incident caused the side of the church to catch aflame. Police are still investigating the incident.

Fire services responded to a structure fire at St. Andrew’s United Church on July 4. The outside of the building was damaged as a result of the fire. Police are still investigating the matter.

According to Fort St. John RCMP a report was received at 12:34 a.m. of a fire engulfing Upper Pine Gospel Chapel. Police are investigating the incident.
St Joseph’s Lutheran Church, Armena, AB.
Camrose RCMP responded to a fire on Dec. 31, 2022 at the small parish St. Joseph Lutheran Church near the village of Hay Lakes. When first responders arrived the church was completely engulfed in flames. Police believe the fire is suspicious and are investigating it as an intentional act.
May 22, 2023 St. Bernard Catholic Church, Grouard, AB. St. Bernard Catholic Church was completely engulfed in flames after fires were intentionally set within its premises. The RCMP have since arrested two suspects as a result of the fire. The building remains unsalvageable.

On Apr 28, 2023 a fire was intentionally set at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Police are investigating the fire as suspicious after the church was razed to the ground by the flames.
On Feb. 13, RCMP responded to a fire at the historic St. Michael’s Hungarian Church. When they arrived the church had completely burnt to the ground. Police have since arrested and charged two suspects.

As a route of western expansion, the Missouri River had few equals. The public lands of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, both under federal and state management, make a significant contribution to the local lifestyle and the regional economy. The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act provides three levels of river classification: wild, scenic, and recreational.
Wild rivers are free of dams, generally inaccessible except by trail, and represent vestiges of primitive America.
Scenic rivers are free of dams, with shorelines or watersheds that are still largely primitive and shorelines that are largely undeveloped, but accessible in places by roads.
Recreational rivers are readily accessible by road or railroad, may have some development along their shorelines, and may have been dammed in the past.
A diverse delegation of Christian leaders are today delivering an open letter signed by more than 800 Australians calling on Prime Minister Tony Abbott to rethink the government's rejection of the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House.
"Experts have assured us there is really no practical reason to reject the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House," said Jody Lightfoot, climate justice campaigner at Common Grace.
"We understand the important heritage value of Kirribilli House so we had a chat to Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore who told us the City of Sydney has already installed 5,500 solar panels on nearly 30 buildings including ones with irreplaceable heritage value such as Sydney Town Hall,” said Mr Lightfoot.
The letter rejecting the solar panels came via Michael McCormack, Member for Riverina, in his capacity as the parliamentary secretary to the finance minister.
“The rejection of our gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House is symbolic of the government’s failure to invest in renewables, but we’re here to provide the Prime Minister with an opportunity to choose a brighter future for all Australians and to back the 9 in 10 Australians who want a strong Renewable Energy Target," said Mr Lightfoot.
"We know that climate change means more frequent and intense extreme weather events hitting the world's poorest people the hardest. We only need to look to our Pacific Island neighbours to see the devastating cost of climate change. We could be leading the world in taking action on climate change and as Christians we urge Prime Minister Abbott not to reject the sun's grace," said Jarrod McKenna, National Director of Common Grace.
The gift of twelve solar panels was crowdfunded over four days in December by Common Grace, a movement of Christians who are passionate about Jesus and justice. On cleaning concerns, John Grimes, CEO of the peak body of the solar industry in Australia (Australian Solar Council), informed us that solar panels do not require ongoing cleaning or yearly maintenance - they are cleaned by the rain. Some utilities require a check of the inverter, but this can be done on the ground every five years.
Looking abroad, did you know that President Carter managed to get solar panels installed on the White House way back in 1979? And Pope Benedict negotiated the same kinds of hurdles when he accepted a gift of 2700 solar panels providing clean energy to the Vatican in 2008.
Prime Minister, we believe that a man in your position can overcome challenges like heritage listings and cleaning concerns and choose a brighter future for all Australians. We therefore urge you to implement a strong Renewable Energy Target and accept the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House, as a powerful signal to the world that Australia’s renewables industry is officially open for business.

I can't believe that I'm having to write this - I'm still in shock - but my beautiful, irreplaceable Lulu was put to sleep late yesterday morning.
She was apparently happy and well right up until Saturday so, as you can imagine, the speed of her decline was frightening. She had three large, inoperable tumours in her abdomen. The vet told me the situation was "hopeless", although I didn't need to be told.
Lulu was very special. From the moment I met her at the rescue centre and she turned those mesmerising green eyes in my direction to look at me, I was lost. I can't believe that I only knew her for a year and a week because in that short space of time she turned my life upside down. I'm devastated to have lost her so soon.
I want to thank everyone who has followed Lulu's story and left so many lovely comments on her photos. It's been a wonderful experience having Lulu embraced by the friendly Flickr community.
(Thank you, everyone, for your thoughtful messages of sympathy and support. They really mean a lot. I hope you will all give your special friends an extra hug today as you think of Lulu.)
A diverse delegation of Christian leaders are today delivering an open letter signed by more than 800 Australians calling on Prime Minister Tony Abbott to rethink the government's rejection of the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House.
"Experts have assured us there is really no practical reason to reject the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House," said Jody Lightfoot, climate justice campaigner at Common Grace.
"We understand the important heritage value of Kirribilli House so we had a chat to Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore who told us the City of Sydney has already installed 5,500 solar panels on nearly 30 buildings including ones with irreplaceable heritage value such as Sydney Town Hall,” said Mr Lightfoot.
The letter rejecting the solar panels came via Michael McCormack, Member for Riverina, in his capacity as the parliamentary secretary to the finance minister.
“The rejection of our gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House is symbolic of the government’s failure to invest in renewables, but we’re here to provide the Prime Minister with an opportunity to choose a brighter future for all Australians and to back the 9 in 10 Australians who want a strong Renewable Energy Target," said Mr Lightfoot.
"We know that climate change means more frequent and intense extreme weather events hitting the world's poorest people the hardest. We only need to look to our Pacific Island neighbours to see the devastating cost of climate change. We could be leading the world in taking action on climate change and as Christians we urge Prime Minister Abbott not to reject the sun's grace," said Jarrod McKenna, National Director of Common Grace.

APPEAL: Officers are appealing for information following a burglary at a property in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton.
An irreplaceable Cartier watch – pictured - given as a 21st birthday present was taken from the property on Clifton Road on Tuesday (22 March).
The watch is just one of many items taken by the thieves when they struck at the house sometime between 11.15am and 2.15pm on Tuesday.
Detective Constable Andy Higgins from Wolverhampton investigations team, said: “To come home and find that such precious possessions have been stolen is distressing.
“We are determined to get these items back to the owner. I’d urge anyone who has been offered this watch or any of the stolen items for sale to come forward and tell us.”
Three iPads, an ACER laptop, a pair of RayBan sunglasses, and a number of pieces of jewellery were also taken during the raid.

A special treat for everyone attending Saturday night's gala was a peek at the Jay mansion's front door which has been reconstructed and restored to it's original dimensions by Bruce MacDonald of Ashwood Restoration for eventual reinstallation at the house. The door is truly magnificent and immense in size. To see its fine carving up close is to see the irreplaceable work of an artisan from 174 years past. In fact one of the signatures of the Jay Heritage Center is this kind of opportunity to see historic preservation in process - especially at a fundraiser.
The theme of the night was Roaring 20s - guests dressed in everything from raccoon coats and spats to flapper dresses and boas made for an evening that was simply "the bees knees!" Proceeds benefit JHC educational programs.
Jay Heritage Center (JHC) Founder Catherine "Kitty" Aresty and New York Preservation Advocate, Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel were recipients of the 1st Annual "John Jay Medal for Service" awarded at JHC's 20th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 13, 2012. In keeping with the legacy of one of America's greatest Founding Fathers, the John Jay Medal recognizes individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment and engagement with their community.
As an early member of the Jay Coalition, Catherine "Kitty" Aresty helped harness the energy of thousands of volunteers and citizens to save the Jay Property when it was threatened by commercial development in the early 1980s. She was one of 5 dynamic women who formed the vanguard for preservation of the site, finally securing a victory in 1992 but her total commitment to seeing the property restored for public use extends more than 30 years including 22 consecutive years on the JHC Board.
Similarly, Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel's career spans more than 40 years. She has been a pioneering champion of preservation and the arts, credited with bringing the first public art to Bryant Park and the first public performance to Central Park. The first Director of Cultural Affairs for New York City, she was the longest term Landmarks Commissioner in the city’s history, spanning four mayoral administrations from 1972 to 1987. Her expertise and advocacy of historic preservation has garnered her countless honors and prestigious appointments from nor fewer than 4 US Presidents. Dr. Diamonstein-Spielvogel is the current Vice Chair of the New York State Council on the Arts.
Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino served as Honorary Co-Chairs of the evening which drew over 170 people from Manhattan, Westchester and Greenwich to the National Historic Landmark site. While the event also marked an important 2 decade milestone for the organization, adding to the festive feeling was the recent announcement of a public private partnership between JHC, New York State Parks and Westchester County to manage and restore the entire 23 acre Jay estate as a historic park and educational resource.

The site has been a member of Westchester County's African American Heritage Trail since 2004 and was added to the prestigious Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area following its nomination in 2008 by County Legislator Judy Myers.
JHC President Suzanne Clary commended the men, women and coalition of non-profits that first saved Jay's home but also emphasized the "new coalition" they are forming with other museums and preservation groups like the NY Preservation League, The Landmarks Conservancy, Audubon NY, the World Monuments Fund and more. Congresswoman Lowey recognized the power of bi-partisan support that continues to guide JHC's success. Ken Jenkins, Chairman of the Westchester County Board of Legislators presented a proclamation to both honorees and added his strong words of support for the Jay Heritage Center's mission to revitalize one of Westchester's premiere heritage destinations. Steve Otis, former Mayor of Rye brought accolades from Sen. Suzi Oppenhiemer and personally congratulated the two medal awardees on their vision and tenacity; he reminded the audience how dilapidated the Jay site was when first acquired and how miraculous its transformation had been under JHC's trusted stewardship. Both honorees gave moving remarks and thanks and underscored the continued need to stay "passionate" about preservation.

The Missouri is the longest river in the United States, flowing more than 2,500 miles from its source on the eastern slope of the Rockies near Three Forks, Montana, to its confluence with the Mississippi River at St. Louis, Missouri. Congress designated 149 miles of the Upper Missouri as a component of the National Wild and Scenic River System in 1976, calling it an irreplaceable legacy of the historic American west. The Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River section starts at Fort Benton, Montana, and runs 149 miles downstream ending at the James Kipp Recreation Area.
49 species of fish (ranging from 1/2-oz. minnows to 140 lb. paddlefish) reside in the river. Fishermen are most likely to catch goldeye, drum, sauger, walleye, northern pike, channel catfish, carp and smallmouth buffalo.
As a route of western expansion, the Missouri River had few equals. Lewis and Clark spent 3 weeks, from May 24 through June 13, 1805, exploring the segment that is now the Upper Missouri National Wild & Scenic River. Today, this portion is considered to be the premier component of the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail.
The public lands of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, both under federal and state management, make a significant contribution to the local lifestyle and the regional economy. Within the monument you can float the river, fish, hike, hunt, camp, drive for pleasure, find a little solitude, enjoy a sense of exploration, or simply marvel at the variety of resources around you. Vast portions of the monument are serviced only by graveled and unimproved roads. Much of the monument is not accessible by any road; visitors are invited to explore on foot.

The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act provides three levels of river classification: wild, scenic, and recreational.
Wild rivers are free of dams, generally inaccessible except by trail, and represent vestiges of primitive America.
Scenic rivers are free of dams, with shorelines or watersheds that are still largely primitive and shorelines that are largely undeveloped, but accessible in places by roads.
Recreational rivers are readily accessible by road or railroad, may have some development along their shorelines, and may have been dammed in the past.

Fire was reported to be sweeping the ancient walled city in the heart of defenseless Manila today after Jap planes rained bombs on the thickly populated district. Colleges, churches, and government building were threatened by the flames, which quickly got out of control in several sections. The Walled City area had a population 100,000. Built in the 16th Century by the Spaniards, the walled city was called Intramuros, and housed the irreplaceable buildings, religious and governmental, which are the heritage of the Filipinos.

I'm not good at describing my own work, because for me has a special and irreplaceable importance ... therefore I will not going to give you my interpretations, but I'll let you create your own. Hope u like it ;)
Snook, Texas, the departure of another irreplaceable artifact in order to satisfy what a few unelected officials view as meeting the ever growing needs of a struggling and unhappy traveling public. Located in the small community in Central Texas named Snook, there is a family that owns a small tract of land there. The family has farmed and ranched on the land for many generations. This land isn’t much different than most of the land in that area, except there are some very beautiful, very old, very big Oak Trees. There are several of these huge old trees, of which are believed to be in excess of 500 years old. One of these behemoths has a trunk that measures around 25 feet in circumference. Its limbs spread out somewhere around 100 feet. Now think about this, they have survived numerous severe droughts, floods, hurricanes, lighting storms, you name it and they have beat it. Then ponder for a few minutes about the history that has passed these trees by, Columbus sailed the ocean blue, Coronado searched for gold, Jamestown was settled, John Hancock signed his name, Lewis and Clark walked to Portland, Hugh Glass fought a Bear, Bowie used his knife in a Church, Booth did the unthinkable, Audie Murphy earned a Medal, yes, it just goes on and on, until 2014 that is! Sadly, after centuries of struggling to survive, watching history unfold, these beautiful old trees have become the target of the State of Texas through her Department of Transportation. They have determined, through all their exceptional wisdom that it is their duty to serve and protect the public by choosing to destroy these beautiful specimens of god’s ability to create a lasting beauty, of which now has proven they can only to be destroyed by simple man. TxDot is going to take several of these wonderful pieces of history away for us for the sole purpose of building a new road, not expanding an old one, through the Community of Snook, Texas. They could have simply moved their real estate conquest less than 40 feet into an area of only scrub growth and saved these magnificent topiary beauties. Yet, without any reasonable consideration as to what these giants have endured for up to maybe 600 years, what they mean to the people around them, what they could signify to the citizens of Texas, not to mention their extreme pulchritude, the engineers, designers and attorneys for the Texas road system decided it is not possible to move their self imposed boundary those few feet. Too bad we weren’t talking about a frog. To get an idea as to the size of one of these monsters, note that my wife and niece are standing in the background on the lower left side. Dear Prime Minister Abbott,
We are disappointed that the Government has rejected the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House that was crowd funded last Christmas by 142 Christians. We had hoped you would accept them as a great first step to get Australia moving towards a strong Renewable Energy Target.
We understand that the reasons for declining the gift are Kirribilli House’s heritage listing, ongoing costs of cleaning and maintenance, and security concerns. So we did some research and found many people in your home state and abroad have overcome these challenges.
Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore informed us that the City of Sydney has already installed 5,500 solar panels on nearly 30 buildings including ones with irreplaceable heritage value such as Sydney Town Hall. We discovered Australia’s own actress, Cate Blanchett, installed 1,906 solar panels on Sydney Theatre Company heritage building. I’m sure she’d be willing to give some pointers if you gave her a call?
On cleaning concerns, John Grimes, CEO of the peak body of the solar industry in Australia (Australian Solar Council), informed us that solar panels do not require ongoing cleaning or yearly maintenance - they are cleaned by the rain. Some utilities require a check of the inverter, but this can be done on the ground every five years.
Looking abroad, did you know that President Carter managed to get solar panels installed on the White House way back in 1979? And Pope Benedict negotiated the same kinds of hurdles when he accepted a gift of 2700 solar panels providing clean energy to the Vatican in 2008.
Prime Minister, we believe that a man in your position can overcome challenges like heritage listings and cleaning concerns and choose a brighter future for all Australians. We therefore urge you to implement a strong Renewable Energy Target and accept the gift of solar panels for Kirribilli House, as a powerful signal to the world that Australia’s renewables industry is officially open for business.

The Organ was valued at $400,000.00 in 1974. Its value today is incalculable.
It is the giant Möller theater organ Mighty Mo, that is the Fox Theatre's crown jewel.
This irreplaceable relic of movie theater lore is a masterpiece of organ design,
capable of producing sound as delicate as a dainty piccolo to wall-shuddering
accompaniment for a battle scene. From Beethoven to Sousa, Mighty Mo has no
rival in ability and versatility.
Mighty Mo was custom-made for the Fox Theatre in 1929 for the then astronomical
price of $42,000.00 by M. P. Möller Inc. of Hagerstown, Maryland.It's the second
largest theater organ in the world with 42 ranks, four manuals and 376 stop tabs,
having been surpassed in size — but not melodic beauty — around 1933 by the
58-rank Wurllitzer at Radio City Music hall. There are 3,622 pipes, spread out over
five chambers, ranging in size from a ball point pen to 32 feet tall and big enough
around for a man to stand in.
The wind required for the organ is supplied by a blower which is powered by a
75-horsepower motor. This electro-pneumatically operated instrument
is so vast and complex that it has real instruments in it such as a marimba, xylophone
and glockenspiel. The Theatre's grand piano can be remotely played from the
organ's keyboard.
Mighty Mo can produce sounds like a clarinet, trumpet, saxophone and all other
orchestral instruments, as well as sounds like thunder, a fire bell, chimes and a
steamboat whistle.
By 1954, Mighty Mo was in such a state of neglect, it just quit. In 1963,
Joe Patten, The Fox Theatre's retired technical director — who had fallen
in love with this grand and complicated instrument, collaborated with organist
Bob Van Camp and a few members of the American Theatre Organ Society
to restore the organ. With financial support from the Fox, over the course of nearly
9 months, Patten spent hundreds of hours painstakingly rewiring the organ with 36,000
feet (nearly seven miles) of new wire, rebuilding the entire organ from the inside out.
The organ has been entertaining audiences since its reintroduction to the public on
Thanksgiving Day that same year. Patten maintained it up until his recent retirement,
and continues to oversee its care as a volunteer. His records and technical wizardry
assure that Mighty Mo will be singing loud and clear for future generations of theater
organ enthusiasts.
It takes enormous skill and musical virtuosity to play this behemoth, and organists
consider a performance on Mighty Mo the pinnacle of their career. Bob Van Camp was
the house organist for more than 25 years. When he died, Patten and Atlanta Landmarks
board member Robert L. Foreman Jr. sprinkled his ashes in the attic over the
organ chambers.
