As this year closes, it's easy to see the negatives and relive them repeatedly as in every day that follows we are constantly reminded. As with previous year's this year as seen the loss of dearly loved ones; family, friends, relatives, lover's, co-workers. Entities that were a fundamental part of a familial ecosystem conducive to the functions of our daily life. Nothing fills the void to a uniquely irreplaceable personage.
Life will not always proceed the way we want, and though we may not have every minute answer to all the details of what to do, or where to go next, sometimes we all just need to stop, and reevaluate ourselves and take a moment to realize what is truly important.
So as 2021 closes, I hope that we can all take a moment to let some things come to a close along with it. A pandemic, or epidemic may not go away any time soon, but that does not mean we cannot resolve things that are within our control. Unless woefully bad and a risk to your health and well being, that disagreement with someone that keeps you from talking to them really is not all that important. if they, or you died today, what would that feud matter? The person you swore before God that you loved that is now neglected for someone else? Why did you love them in the first place? Maybe they changed, but they are still with you, and you have changed too. That best friend that "stole" someone from you? That person wasn't for you in the first place, doesn't mean you need to trust either of them, but for you own growth, talk, forgive, move on. Does not mean you have to hangout and catch up. But hanging on to that animosity only does more damage.
Forgiveness is not about forgetting, its about realizing everyone has flaws, some that one can live with, some that cannot be forgotten. When you love a person, and forgive them and stay, let the forgiveness be the end of that past fault. In truly forgiving and moving on, we ourselves become a better person for it, and forgiving that wrongdoer leaves them the burden of guilt for what they have done. Does not mean we return to bad situation, but realizing we forgive that person, for their flaws, and also forgive ourselves for not learning sooner that we are a higher value than what that person values us for and that though it may seem a long time, someone can, and will recognize our value.
Nothing stays the same, yesterday is gone, but our present is the first set of steps to what we can make to be a happy and safe future, if we so choose to do so.

Everything comes into focus on June 29th each year when we recognize National Camera Day. The day commemorates photographs, the camera, and their invention. A camera is an irreplaceable tool used to record and replicate memories, events, and people/places. Before the invention of the camera, the only resource to document a vision was a painting. Capturing an image of a person or place in a drawing took time and skill. Very few people can perfectly draw the likeness of someone, let alone capture the essence of an event.
The power of a camera provided many with a simple, inexpensive, and fast solution. George Eastman, also known as “The Father of Photography,” brought the camera to the masses. While he did not invent the camera, he did develop many additions improving the use, ease, and production of the camera. His developments made the camera widely available to homes around the world.
The famous photographer Chase Jarvis once said “the best camera is the one that's with you,” and given the fact that our smartphones are always with us, they offer the most convenience for photo taking at each “Kodak moment.”
A small waterfall, the water that flows between the rocks of mother earth, the abstract figure that looks at the sky and spreads its arms out like a thank you or help.

** I have always wanted to visit Cordoba in particularly to see the Mezquita. Fortunately it was only an hour away by train from Seville The Mezquita did not disappoint it is a staggering achievement of Islamic architecture . It is a pity that in the sixteenth century the Christians placed a vulgar cathedral in the middle of the mosque, an extraordinary piece of cultural vandalism . Even the Spanish King when he saw what they had done was appalled . Charles V when he visited Cordoba is reputed to have been very displeased,, and commented:
"You have built what you or anyone else might have built anywhere; but to do so you have destroyed something that was unique in the world”.
The Great Mosque was constructed on the orders of Abd al-Rahman I in 785, when Córdoba was the capital of the Muslim-controlled region of al-Andalus. It was expanded multiple times afterwards under Abd ar-Rahman's successors up to the late 10th century. Among the most notable additions, Abd al-Rahman III added a minaret (finished in 958) and his son Al-Hakam II added a richly-decorated new mihrab and maqsurah section (finished in 971)
The Great Mosque of Cordoba represents a unique artistic achievement due to its size and the sheer boldness of the height of its ceilings. It is an irreplaceable testimony of the Caliphate of Cordoba and it is the most emblematic monument of Islamic religious architecture. It was the second biggest in surface area, after the Holy Mosque in Mecca, previously only reached by the Blue Mosque (Istanbul, 1588), and was a very unusual type of mosque that bears witness to the presence of Islam in the West. The Great Mosque of Cordoba was also very influential on Western Islamic art since the 8th century just as in the neo-Moorish style in the 19th century.
The mosque was converted to a cathedral in 1236 when Córdoba was captured by the Christian forces of Castile during the Reconquista. The structure itself underwent only minor modifications until a major building project in the 16th century inserted a new Renaissance cathedral nave and transept into the centre of the building.

Of course that is true at least geographically. The other meaning of downhill is a matter of opinion. Downtown stretch of Yonge Street is (was) iconic part of Toronto. It was always swinging between chic and sleazy. At one point it was the entrainment center of TO with the most live musical venues in the city within few blocks. Developers took over few years ago and now only few sections of the old are left. Aided by rubber stamping (building permits) city hall and ravages of pandemic killing businesses, it will be soon non-descript "couldbeanywhereintheworld" area, where sun will never reach the sidewalk. Some see it as urban renewal at its finest; I see it as a loss of something irreplaceable.

Valerie and her horse needed no introduction for everyone knew who they were because they won every race. Might not be the fanciest team but they were the fastest. I watched them grow up together and they sure had a special relationship. Ran into her recently and she said this horse is now retired. Best horse she ever had, bar none. I know what it's like to miss riding a retired horse, irreplaceable...

The Matterhorn (German), Monte Cervino (Italian) or Mont Cervin (French), is a mountain in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its summit is 4,478 meters (14,690 ft) high, making it one of the highest peaks in the Alps. The four steep faces, rising above the surrounding glaciers, face the four compass points. The mountain overlooks the town of Zermatt in the canton of Valais to the north-east and Breuil-Cervinia in the Aosta Valley to the south. The Theodul Pass, located at the eastern base of the peak, is the lowest passage between its north and south side.

Jay is 9y old now and was the first dog I trained since overcoming near death with a rare virus that left me permanently disabled, my career racing and showing huskies ended there. She helped me find a new life and brought me through some terrible times learning to accept my condition. She is a remarkable dog and I owe her my life, she is irreplaceable.
Karlovy Vary is famous for its wonderful city architecture and great location. The Hotel Thermal may be fine example of Brutalist architecture, but to build it in the middle of Karlsbad was a crime. Several irreplaceable historic structures were destroyed and 10 years of construction must have been unbearable. In the 1970's the people who made decisions where largely incompetent. The Architects Věra Machoninová and Vladimír Machonin are not to blame, but it just feels inappropriate to be in the city center. Of course my opinion is bias, as I did never see any example of brutalism architecture I liked.

I feel the same as many of my friends here. The winter with its beautiful landscapes and snow covered mountains is something beautiful and very special. I really love the freshly snowed forests, hills and mountains. Especially when it's really cold and frozen on a new winter day. But since I can experience such beautiful moments in a long winter period only a few times, I am looking forward to the warmer season of spring with all my senses. Every season has something unique and beautiful, but the longer and warmer days of spring and summer are irreplaceable and unmatched !!! Since I can not drive at any time in the wintertime to the beautiful mountains of my home country, as I said, I also have not the opportunity to take many pictures. Since I love to look back a bit to the last summer with all its big and small beauties of nature. I like to share with you the golden moments of the past summer. I hope that you can enjoy it a little bit with me, because the next spring and summer is not so far away as it already is !!!
P.S: Because today was the first warm and springy day here in Switzerland, it was not difficult for me to decide for this picture, which reminds me so much of the coming warmer days.

Shooting to the color. Color is very important in our lives. It brings an irreplaceable layer of information and complexity to photography, but for me, I find it fascinating to try to photograph color when color itself is the protagonist of the photograph.
There is such a feeling of "being alive" in autumn, even with all the goblins and witches around. ;) The scents are irreplaceable. So much warmth in a season full of dark skies and wind. And as each leaf falls, it continues to give beauty as it slowly begins to curl away.
And when the sun shines through, you better believe it is unforgettable. In fact, I think it is autumn that brings families together more so than others; it is an extra special feeling when inside a warm home full of apple and spice, surrounded by loved ones, smiling, and of course, longing to be outside. And when you do step outside, you are amazed at the beauty--almost as if you are witnessing it for the very first time.
