I need to fix up my dress, and it's a lot more fun to do it while dressed as a maid. I love any excuse to put on this cute outfit.

It's fun being a maid to do some household chores, but it will be even more fun when I get to put this red dress on.
I didn't get it done last week, being away teaching in Oxford, so I thought I would get it out of the way before getting on with some commissioned drawing work.
Of all the domestic jobs around the house, ironing is my least favourire, especially when it's a pile like this.
THe GE Travel Iron was from my granny .. I love use it!
I remember when she taught me how to iron when I was a little girl! I only use it for my doll's cloth!
The smaller iron is my number one helper... It is used for quilting. It is so tiny than I can iron perfectly inside small sleeves or small spaces that a regular iron couldn't do it!

Not the actual task but I will have to handwash this dress to remove makeup marks and iron the bodice.
