Explored #37, my highest ever - thank you everybody!

It’s easy to fall in love with Bali. The beaches are beautiful, the food is wonderful, the people are friendly, and the culture is unique and richly rewarding.

This little Indonesian island was doubly blessed: firstly, with abundantly productive fields, and secondly, with people who were cooperative, rather than overly competitive, and who therefore shared the products of those fields - allowing them to spend time on creating art and beautiful things.

One area of creative endeavour is textile production, much of it using traditional methods.

"The only time I ever enjoyed ironing was the day I accidentally got gin in the steam iron." Phyllis Diller

I'm struggling again. Photographing whatever I can get my hands on and hoping that an idea will emerge. I like the commitment to delivering daily regardless. At least you get to try out various techniques for lighting and shooting all kinds of things and subjects you wouldn't otherwise consider and/or get around to.

Angie is too nervous to eat much, so she irons the outfit she plans to wear on her first date (again).

Good luck, Angie! Hope all goes well.

As you can see, Lucy is (as always) very helpful on ironing day. She also keeps a very close eye on things.

Spent the whole morning ironing....this is only the folded up things, as most went on to hangers. So to me, this is an achievement, as I hate ironing and this morning I did it all :)
