Who says I don't take many pictures with people in them!? Here's one. :-}) Some telephone company employees on an elongated break fishing in Irondequoit Creek in Linear/Philbrook Park

I was fascinated by this flow of water here. When I was there in the park I spent about a half hour trying different shooting positions. Then, just now, I spent another 10 minutes trying to figure out which view to present. So I guess I will have to show one more after this. It WAS a magic spot!

If you look you will find many similar formations along the edges of cold weather streams.

Wouldn't you like to sit on one of those on a hot summers day?

Here we have a reasonable facsimile of England-Scotland, complete with the English Channel and mainland Europe.....or at least I thought so.

This long thin Sycamore on the banks of Irondequoit Creek in Linnear (Philbrook) Park is that way I am told because when it first started growing it had to compete with many close surroundings trees which have perhaps died off.

The first brances on the tree are right at the top of the picture.

....why does that branch have to be in the picture!? Well, of course it's there so Irondequoit Creek will know which way to flow.

.....on Irondequoit Creek in Philbrick/Linear Park. This was taken near the main fishing area, looking upstream. I never gave it much thought before, but I am wondering if this long arm of rock is natural? There are all kinds of informational signs in the park about the good old days when there were mills here, but no mention of any kind of stream diverting.

All the rainbows I caught were this size yesterday. I did see a dead brown trout of about 16" or so. Small stream summer fishing is lots of fun!

The body of land on the left is an island. The water that flows on the other side is not at all distinguished however, so I have not included it.

I loved all the reeds all around me and the water lilies that I had to cruise through. :)

I am wondering if that branch could have bent that way naturally or if it had some help? I like the waters of Irondequoit Creek in Linear/Philbrick Park when they are low as more of the rock is revealed.

I met her at the (unofficial) dog park. She's a very small standard, only about 40 pounds. She was a rescue. Very sweet.
