Dublin's Dockers pub on Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin has recently reopened after being closed for....15 years.

How times have changed, once the home of Dublin's vast group of dockers who worked opposite on the River Liffey, the area is now filled with a new generation of new silicon dockers, with the likes HubSpot right beside it.

From a photoshoot last year at PJ O'Brien's, an Irish pub in town.

O'Goodies Irish Pub, Fort Dodge, Iowa

Dublin Pubs - About | Copyright notice

I must admit that I had not noticed this pub before and it would appear that it opened to the public about two years ago.

Francis Street is located in an area known as the Liberties.

The Liberties hosts regular performances in theatres, bars, music venues and night clubs. The Tivoli Theatre, located on Francis Street, can accommodate 450 theatre patrons, or a standing audience of around 1,000. Music venues include Vicar Street, on Thomas Street, hosting comedy, drama and concerts, with capacity for 1,500, and The Thomas House, specialised in punk, rock and reggae music.

It should be noted that the Tivoli Theatre is due to be redeveloped and be replaced by a five-storey, 289-bed aparthotel. The planning go-ahead had an unusual condition as the owner of the Tivoli is required to

preserve the graffiti art contained within the site by photographic record which should be undertaken by a professional photographer.

There are plenty pubs in Victoria but for me, hands down, The Irish Times is the place to go. Excellent drinks, wide variety of beer, wonderfully delicious food and one of the friendliest atmosphere of any place you'll go. And live music.

Located here since the 19th century. Some of the interior was imported from a French medieval church - stained glass, carved wood, Gothic arches and pews.

That's what the menu says. But they left out decadent. This is the dessert I chose to follow up with a delicious Sod the Stew ordered from Raglan Road, a wonderful Irish pub I was taken to during a recent trip to Florida.

I'd been hearing nothing but rave reviews about this place for years, and finally had the chance to go there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Irish food, Irish music, and good old Irish charm all bundled into one Irish bundle!

OR - maybe I should say Guilty Pleasure!

Went to Florida recently with my niece and her family, and found myself on a sidetrip to a wonderful Irish Pub they have been raving about for years - called Raglan Road.

Not only was the atmosphere amazing, everything we had to eat, and drink was top notch! I ordered the Sod the Stew, a delicious and filling beef stew infused with Guinness, and a side a green beans. I washed it all down with a chilled Magners Draft Cider. Yum Yum!!

The weather here is bone chilling cold, with the low tonight dipping to 13 F. Very cold for where I live, so I'm allowed to whine a little bit. And it makes me really appreciate how cold it must be for those who's temperatures are down to below 0 F! BRRR!

And it makes me wish I could order another piping hot bowl of this delicious stew. That would be the perfect comfort food right about now. **sigh**
