I may have gotten a little iris crazy! But they were beautiful and in so many different colors, enjoy!
My neighbor's iris, much coveted. It does very well in the Georgia red clay.

I didn't see these bloom this year. I need to think of a different spot to plant the rhizomes so they can prosper.

A combination of colors that I couldn't pass up. This shot came at the price of a wet, muddy knee, that I had to walk around with the rest of the day... I think it was worth it.

What a nice surprise. Perhaps this was a new variety that I planted last year and which just didn't manage to bloom then. Anyway, I am intrigued by the blue fuzzy things - those are usually yellow!
Last evening, K brought home an armload of vibrant spring flowers for me. He chose a gigantic bouquet of irises, stargazer lilies and carnations because he knew that the flowers would lift my spirits. It was such a lovely, extravagant gesture and so typical of him. He understands the stress of working amidst tight deadlines and he knows how frustrated I am to be shackled to my desk when the blue skies and brilliant spring colours beckon me outdoors. Needless to say, I am overjoyed to have masses of spring blossoms adorning every available surface.
