My iPod fell out of my pocket and managed to wedge itself in the steering mechanism of the mower without my knowing. Remarkably it still played music like this although I had no way to control it.
Decided to try and Ipod style of pict for the lil one and mutt. Now I just need to put the IPOD on them.

I bought an iPod Shuffle today. 4 gigs. This thing is TINY. It's a stick of gum sized.
I had some trouble enabling VoiceOver. The solution was as I'd installed iTunes on D: not C: - so I had to manually copy C:\Program Files\iTunes\iPodVoiceOver.dll to D:\Program Files\iTunes\iPodVoiceOver.dll. It then worked like a dream.
Smart playlists have been set up to choose a random set of songs to play (with secondary playlists which allow me to choose just a particular subset).
Is good - though I can see that not everyone will 'get' smart playlists from the documentation supplied. Other than these hiccoughs, now sorted, it is very good. Though I'm scared of losing the thing!

One of the problems with my daughter's new iPOD touch is that when she places it flat on the table, she is unable to easily view it while lying in bed. This was causing her to have to hold the device in her hands which was not ideal.
I tried several physical and on-line stores to see if I could buy a stand for holding it propped up. Unfortunately I had no luck so I was forced to build my own from a wire clothes hangar. It might not be as elegant as Steve Jobs would design, but it works and hence I am happy with my handiwork.

At my inlaws for the 4th. We found my wife's old iPod. Taking it back to add to the apple collection. I never had a click-wheel iPod so this one will be fun to play with.
