I know the flare is a bit over the top, but first, this is Sliders Sunday, so over the top is to be expected. And second, I can't resist shooting into the sun with an iPhone. The predictable unpredictability of the final result is too much fun. HSS, everyone!

Another version is in the comments.

Night, day, sun, moon...if you are not sure, I don't blame you. This is one of the outtakes from India trip a year ago - I have another version somewhere in my stream. Amazingly it was taken in the middle of the day, but this is what you get when you shoot into the sun with an iPhone. iPhone app did most of the original "sliding", I just changed the green hue to blue and added texture (both in Photoshop). HSS, guys!

I am never in my bedroom at this time of the day, but this is when the light is best there. Of course, this sort of light early in the morning would have been seriously annoying, but in the afternoon it is simply beautiful. I took this quick shot with an iPhone, run it through something like three different processing applications (all phone based), tried to resist doing anything else, failed miserably and ended up adding texture in photoshop.

So Sliders Sunday it is!

This was completely unplanned shot - I was stuck in a long line of cars at the traffic light, rolled down a window and took a shot with an iPhone - but I kind of like the way it turned out. Especially after some extra iPhone-based "sliding". HSS everyone!

This is true. India is all about colors! It is especially true when there is nothing else in your image worth bragging about. Most of the pictures on this trip I took from the moving car...so focus and composition were out of the question...or maybe I should say out of the window! This is how blurry it came out - I didn't add any extra blur on purpose. But I did run this image through three different iPhone apps to increase saturation and add textures. I don't know if it says India to you, but this is exactly how I remember this trip - colors and blur and a lot of bumpy driving.

Happy Sliders Sunday, everyone!

Something is always in bloom in North Carolina. Well, may be not in January, but 9 months out of 12.

Created on my iPhone using Brushes and Crop 'n' Frame iPhone apps.

My art-mixed media: photo of my silk painting processed with an iPhone app for a gray tone abstract.

IPhone app art: fusion of my heart scarf and Valentine flowers photo melded together with "Fused" app.

iPhone tribute created with ZeusDraw Mobile iPhone app.

I am flying home tomorrow night and thought that leaving India without posting a quick Taj picture can't be right. Right? I had only a day and a half in Agra, but one day was Friday when the Taj is officially closed to public. And the next day I was too busy to go there. However we stopped to see it from across the Yamuna river a couple of times. The first night the water was really still with the gorgeous reflection of the Taj, but it was too dark already and my pictures - taken with the point & shoot camera - turned out very noisy. I'll see if they are usable when I am back home. This I took with the iPhone the next morning, but reflection was nowhere to be found. It was too windy and Yamuna river was not in the "reflective" mood. I guess I will have to come back to India again to take this perfect Taj reflection shot!

But, conveniently, it is Sunday today and my slightly over-processed Taj picture goes straight to Sliders Sunday! Not that I need any excuse to over-process, but still...it is nice to do it "legally" once in a while. HSS, everyone!

Oh, and the black & white version is in the comments.

How many adults does it take to calm down one fussy baby? Apparently three and a half are too few. I took this on Monday as I was waiting to renew my driver license (and I was late by only three months, btw...my all time record was six, at which point I was almost arrested). This family was sitting next to me with one of the cutest and loudest babies I ever encountered. OF COURSE I took a picture! And then processed it to no end...all with an iPhone. HSS, guys!

If it is Sunday, it is Sliders Sunday. Can't offer you a "before" shot because this was taken and processed with an iPhone and no "before" shot exists. Unless you think "before" shot is the one where this bottle is still full. Sorry, don't have that one either. May be next time. HSS!

Don't think I came up with this cheesy title all by myself. Only after I added texture to this image, I realized this is what texture had written on it. And it strangely fit...sort of. With a nice dose of cheesiness.

Cliche scavenger hunt, week 3 - this is my "pets cliche" entry. I used to have a cat who lived a long and happy life and died a couple of years ago. And I don't think I am getting any other creature anytime soon. With all my travel, it is really difficult to take care of a cat or a dog. May be I can get pet tarantula...Or not. I am not that desperate yet. Anyway, there is a pet store close to my house and I stop by occasionally just to look. This is where this one was taken. HCS, guys!

Through the plane window: Hipstamatic iPhone app, Dreampop flash on. Most of the time this flash produces fairly subtle effect. While this is, obviously, not one of these times, I kind of like it. Flashier on black

My preparations turned out pointless, though.

An hour passed, the another hour… I was still unsure about how to make my own portrait amazing and unforgettable. Suddenly, a weird idea came to my mind: what if I visit The Country of Portraits and get inspiration there? Where to find this Country? Does it exist? What country deserves to be called the Motherland of Portrait Art? Read more here blog.carde-app.com/2015/04/06/edrac-travels-to-the-countr...

The latest instalment from my '1 Second a Day' app, of life's ups and downs, lockdowns (although I think we were past that in this half of the year), days out, a holiday, meet ups with friends and family and just every day stuff like dog walks!! This is from July to December.

Music: Fleetwood Mac - Don't Stop (except when there's a pandemic on!)

The story behind the app:

1 Second Everyday is a video journal that makes it easy for people around the world to create meaningful movies that include every day of their lives.

It all started in 2011, when video and VFX artist Cesar Kuriyama decided to take a year off from work to spend more time with family and friends and see the country on a 95-day road trip. To document the year, Cesar began recording short snippets of video every day, which he compiled into a six-minute video to encapsulate that entire year of his life.

There are two images on top of one another here - done with my iPhone apps. Thank you for your appreciation, Gail

No, seriously, they are everywhere these days. Half the time when I compose the shot, I find a goose in my frame. Next time I go to Africa or India, I fully expect to see one there too. Crossing the street along with goats and cows.

Oh, and I am adding it to the Cliche Saturday Scavenger Hunt "groups" category as it obviously was a "fence Friday" shot. The bonus fence/geese shot is in the comments. HCS, you guys!

Greeting, Friends!! I have an exciting announcement to make to you all - I've decided to make or take a bold new step into a new direction here in Flickrville. I have had an ongoing restlessness to delve into working with photos taken with my iPhone. More to the point - working with photos taken with the iPhone within the iPhone apps and not in Photoshop on my computer. There's so much creative work in that area of photo-art expression that has captured my imagination. And to be boldly honest with you - I have no experience in the graphic arts...but that won't stop me.

I have no desire to give up my work with traditional photography as I will continue to be posting those images still in this stream. But I hope you'll give my new stream a glance from time to time as well. I really was torn about being anonymous there or revealing to everyone both of these identities...and I decided that I just wouldn't be at peace with myself if I didn't make it known early on. Why hide my enthusiasm?!! Who knows...maybe it will inspire some of you to take a bold step with me and continue to develop your other photo arts creative side too.

You can now get a Segway tour of the mall and skip the whole tourist exhaustion thing from walking miles and miles from one spot to another. This is if you don't mind looking borderline ridiculous and being constantly photographed. And no, I was not on the Segway.
