Western Counties Regional Library Public Relation Manager Ian White presents a brand new Apple iPad to Phyllis Woods of Bear River at The Digby Courier office on Nov. 16. Woods, a patron of the Isaiah W. Wilson Memorial Library in Digby, signed on as a library member during Library Card Month in October. She was the grand prize winner of the iPad, provided by sponsor Transcontinental Media. Other prize winners were Joel Demaine of Barton, who received a six-month subscription to The Digby Courier; Evan Hiltz of Lockeport, who won a six-month subscription to The Shelburne Coast Guard; and Wendi Kleiner of Arcadia, who won the six month subscription to The Yarmouth Vanguard. Western Counties Regional Library wishes to thank Transcontinental Media for its incredible support as sponsor of Library Card Month, providing over $8,000 worth of media support and prizes.

My 16GB White WiFi iPad 2. I use this for email, web browsing, twitter, uni readings, FaceTime and magazine subscriptions. I take this with me everywhere as it does everything I need on the go and I find that the MacBook Pro is a bit bulky. I also have a camera connection kit that allows me to insert SD cards straight from my camera to the iPad so I can upload photos on the fly.
