Here we've got a locally brewed Rhode island beer.
- The pour resembles a dirty penny in color and has got a decent head, with a decent sticky lacing.
- The smell is pretty bitter with lots of pine kicking around and small hints of citrus.
- The first sip kind of attacks the palate but leaves me wishing the follow through was better. For an IPA it's pretty unbalanced.
- Overall; As far as IPA's go this is pretty generic. There's nothing overly rememberable about this brew. But I'd order it at the Brewpub downtown, or pick it up again in a mix-a-six.
- Side note: Buying local is important to me for many different reasons, be it beer or food. When you buy local not only do you help pump money back into your community, but it's also the greener option since it takes less to transport the goods. Besides, the local stuff tends to be fresher and sometimes cheaper.
