When in 1954 great car enthusiast António Gonçalves' "Lusito", a small prototype vehicle, broke down right next to Monteiro da Conceição's workshop a partnership was born which led to "Indústria Portuguesa de Automóveis – O Quadriculo Lda", the company which would create the first Portuguese car. This enterprise took the concept of his Lusito and its inadequacies, and after much experimentation, study, and trials, production planning faze had begun. From there the IPA 300 was born, with 2+2 (numberplate: DD-85-80) and Coupé (numberplate: BD–94–94) body styles it also sported a larger 300 cc, 2 cylinder, 15 Hp, 3 speed engine from the British Anzani Astra commercial vehicle than António's Lusito. With this two vehicles were developed intended as a pre-series of five and presented at the Portuguese Industry Fair of 1958.
Unfortunately the fate of this car was sealed as a petition sent by IPA was lost in bureaucracy and license for series production was opposed by the then Industry Secretary of State who favoured the national production of European and American branded vehicles.
Cold IPA is a blast from the past. Back to the days when big,
bold, and hoppy reigned supreme. Brewed with the
precision and technique of a lager, it’s everything you love
about West Coast IPAs – dialed up to 11. Hopped aggressively
with decidedly dank varietals and fermented cool with a
clean yeast strain normally used for lagers, this is a nostalgic
IPA – crisper, cleaner, and hoppier than ever
I don't normally post things like this but I did just find out this was among 27,000 entries.
This is turning out to be a big week for me.
Hint: Stay tuned to Flickr this Friday....

Look into my eyes... you are getting sleepy, very sleepy...close your eyes and enter the vast realm of Mosaic hop flavour in this Imperial IPA. When you awaken you will feel enlightened, you will be one with the hop.

This flavour packed West Coast IPA exudes the pine, grapefruit, and floral aromas of the hops that grow here. Reminiscent of trekking through our beautiful BC forests on a late summer evening
De Petaluma, California. Feta amb 43 (!?!!) llúpols i 65(!?!#@!) maltes diferents. IPA. 51,5 IBUs. 6,2%. Molt aromàtica, d'entrada és llupulada, resinosa i cítrica, amb un final maltós, caramelitzat, que compensa l'amargor. Molt bona. #lagunitas #IPA #IndianPaleAle #IndiaPaleAle #ale #localbeer #craftbeer #cervesaartesana #cervesaartesanal #beer #pivo #birra #pornbeer #cervesa #cerveza #olut #øl #bière #beerporn #beergeek #beernerd #craftbeerlive #hophead #craftbeernotcrapbeer #craftbeerporn #craftbeerlover #beerstagram #beerpic
Wells IPA suffers from a common British problem: mislabeling. During the First World War, breweries (with the government!) decreased alcohol in beers to conserve resources (barley) as well as limit drunkenness among essential workers and the military. Hop levels were also reduced, so the traditionally strong and hoppy IPAs were the first in line to be emasculated. Breweries continued using the term though, but it described a pale ale or a bitter rather than the full-on flavour of an IPA.
Kona Brewing Company began developing the recipe for Hanalei Island IPA in mid 2015, and the beer officially launched in Hanalei in August 2016. Brewmaster Ryan McVeigh worked tirelessly to ensure the right balance of all the attributes—soft bitterness, a sessionable ABV and balanced POG aroma and flavor that is present but not overpowering—resulting in the ultimate drinkable IPA.

Amber in colour, this “out of this world”dry-hopped IPA features fresh citrus and juicy tropical aromas balanced by a light honey and caramel malt flavour From Fuggles and Warlock Brewing in Richmond
Sierra Nevada and hops go hand in hand. What began as a crazy idea scribbled in a pub eventually became Sierra Nevada newest year-round hop bomb, Torpedo Extra IPA. The first beer to feature our "Hop Torpedo"—a revolutionary dry-hopping device that controls how much hop aroma is imparted into beer without adding additional bitterness. Torpedo Extra IPA is an aggressive yet balanced beer with massive hop aromas of citrus, pine, and tropical fruit.
An IPA that breaks away from the traditinal brewers yeast and uses brettanomyces to ferment the beer . Big aromas of juicy hops complemented by the tropical flavours the brett puts out while fermenting. Slight notes of funk and leather in the background

The Odd Fellow IPA celebrates the Odd Fellow English heritage with a British style IPA. Bold yet easy to drink this beautifully balanced ‘session’ IPA pays homage to the proud tradition of the Odd Fellows.
Redhook Long Hammer IPA is a West Coast classic. The generous addition of hops during the brewing and fermentation process gives this India Pale Ale its characteristic bitterness and piney citrus aroma and flavour. Tracing its heritage from another Redhook classic beer, Ballard Bitter, Long Hammer IPA is one of America’s favorite IPAs and Seattle’s #1 local IPA.
An extra large dose of galaxy, citra and strata hops combined with the natural fruit forward flavours of Kveik yeast result in a Tropical fruit bomb! Enjoy notes of pineapple, passion fruit and mango in this ultra juicy NE IPA.
A brut IPA fermented using yeast from champagne and dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc it is light, smooth, and bursting with wine flavours. The extra kick of carbonation makes it dance on the tongue and sing to the senses. From Northpoint Brewing in North Vancouver
