M-Tron Ionic Walker, dubbed “scorpion”, is a transport vehicle which was designed to carry substantial cargo over long distances and to move in a difficult terrain, inaccessible to other machines (track and wheeled vehicles).
"Temple rock tombs are one of the main grave types in Lycia. Nevertheless the similar tombs are met in Southern Caria, as Lycian influence. The tombs are here the examples to the latter. The small tomb at left side is unfinished. By reason of its dimension it has one column which is not preserved, instead of usual two. One of the columns of the tomb at the right side is probably broken during its carving already. The doors of the rock tombs were closed firmly with an especially formed stone, so not to open easily. This type of tombs are generally coated and painted; it is still possible to distinguish the traces of the stuccos and the red painting on the tombs at Akyaka this type of burial custom, which was a symbol of prestige for the wealthy people, began in the 4 century B. Biserica „Sfântul Ioan Nou” -sau „Sfântul Ionică-Piaţă” din Piaţa Unirii, a fost translată în mai 1986.
Biserica, monument istoric din secolul al XVII-lea, în greutate de 3.100 tone, a fost translată pe o distanţă de 23 metri, cu un unghi de translare de 34°.
Pe vechea stradă Şerban Vodă, în apropiere de Podul Beilicului de peste rîul Dâmboviţa, se află încă din anul 1774 o ghirlandă de biserici.
Una dintre acestea se numeşte Sfântul Ioan Piaţă.
Datorită aspectului său modest, această biserică nu pare să facă parte din bisericile construite în timpul domnitorului Brâncoveanu: Sfântul Gheorghe, Colţea şi Curtea Veche.
Construită de breslaşii cojocari şi boiangii, biserica a fost restaurată în anul 1818, iar acest act a fost sculptat în piatră, pentru ca generaţiile viitoare să cunoască numele vechilor şi noilor ctitori, începând cu Ioanichie Ieromonahul şi terminând cu Zamfira.
În anul 1847 acest sfânt lăcaş a fost supus unor lucrări de restaurare, suportate de breslaşii boiangii. Lucrările au fost realizate sub conducerea lui Iordache, epitrop la această sf. biserică, în timpul preaînălţatului domn prinţul Gheorghe Bibescu şi a Preasfinţitului Arhiepiscop D. D. Neofit, care au făcut apel la credincioşi pentru donaţii, iar numele acestora au fost gravate şi aşezate la intrarea în biserică.
Reparată şi împodobită în mai multe rânduri, a fost restaurată din temelie în secolul XX în timpul patriarhilor Miron Cristea şi Nicodim Munteanu între anii 1930 – 1940, iar pictura a fost reînnoită de Iosif Keber.
Între anii 1965-1966, în timpul patriarhului Iustinian, cu sprijinul credincioşilor care frecventau acest sfânt lăcaş, biserica a fost din nou restaurată, a fost introdusă lumina electrică şi încălzirea centrală.
În 1968 s-au executat 5 vitralii la ferestrele de pe faţa sudică (pictor Traian Pârvu).
În 1970 a fost spălată pictura de către Olga Greceanu, a fost realizat pe frontispiciu mozaicul „Botezul Domnului”, iar în 1971 s-au realizat în pridvor mozaicurile Sf. Ap. Petru şi Pavel de către pictorul Iosif Wass, încadrate cu o ramă executată de sculptorul Francisc Heteni.
La 30 mai 1986 s-a efectuat translaţia pe o distanţă de 23 m, sub un unghi de 37°, pe o cale în pantă de 2,8°, soluţie proiectată şi executată de echipa condusă de ing. Eugen Iordăchescu.
