"Die Anrufung" (The Invocation)

It's been a while since I've done anything with my Eden series so we're bringing that back with Die Anrufung! There's always similar elements involved with Eden and this lineup has me eager to share!

I must start my list off with Be My Mannequin? Pose Store! This pose is a popular, unisex singles pose called 'Come, Behold Me' which you can DEMO in the main store or find on Marketplace! I did adjust the head angle upwards for this shot.

Pariah is so awesome that I'm using two items by them: 'Marmoreal' (Lighter Body Tint) to make my skin pale and the new 'Celestial' (tinted teal). 'Celestial' comes in many variations and I love that you have the option to tint your own as well!

Nefekalum Tattoos is a go-to for my Eden character designs! This time I used the 'Ahriman Horns & Crown' which are absolutely wicked and were an excellent touch. I love the color variations that come with both!

Those pink aura effects you see flying around me is 'Spirit of Zara' by The Deadboy. and it comes in several color options!

Cerridwen's Cauldron is a MUST HAVE for anything involving my Eden series. And in this case I brought out my favorite of CC's creations: the 'Columnar Basalt (Crystal) Set' in white and blue which you can see in the background! Additionally I'm using their 'Gaia Underbrush' for all the lovely colorful grasses you see along the edge of the clearing.

Speaking of the clearing, it is Studio Skye's 'Enchanted Woods" (Summer) which I edited the colors to make it match the scenery!

Additional items I have on:

Noche: Auryn Sarong (white, loose) and Roman Accessories (silver)

Quills & Curiosities: Bestial Bands

Contraption: Teeth: The Sharps

Suicidal Unborn: Triple Ring Septum

The White Crow: Teras Nipple Piercing (silver)

The hawthorn is seen as a protection against evil spirits in folklore and is associated with fairies and May Day.

A Lamentation Prayer has five parts:

COVID-19 Lamentation

A Lamentation written by Deborah, Stephen, Tommy, and Luther (4.7.2020)

1 O Lord, You see our sadness. And You hear our cries for those we love.

Show us Your love and mercy.

2 Behold, Your people languish in confinement.

We are gripped in fear and loneliness.

We look out the window. How long O’ LORD?

3 We have trusted that You are the good Father,

You know Your sheep by name,

Know the number of their days,

See every tear they’ve shed,

And have not sat idly by,

But shone Your steadfast love.

4 Deliver us, O’ Lord.

Deliver us from this COVID-19 enemy.

Deliver us, O’ Lord from our fear and anxiety.

5 We praise You for keeping us,

We thank You for loving us.

This is a scene from Ipstones Edge (Blackheath NR to be precise). The image is full of possible interpretaitons I guess.

My own title. 'Invocation'. is not meant to suggest any kind of religious connotations (although there would nothing wrong with interpreting it that way) but of magical tales where nature is able to invoke forces of good and evil. Its a sense that you get just being in that special, remote and ancient site but here it's enhanced by a few post processing effects

Few days ago I went in our capital city Ljubljana and while driving there I saw that all the land was frozen. It looked quite surreal.

ENGLISH

The Sabbath or Sabbat is a supposed meeting of those who practice witchcraft, Satanism, or other rites.

European records tell of innumerable cases of persons being accused or tried for taking part in Sabbath gatherings, from the Middle Ages to the 17th century or later. However, there are no reliable reports on what actually happened during a Sabbath; and much of what was written about them may be the product of popular imagination or deliberate misinformation.

The Compendium Maleficarum (1608), by Francesco Maria Guazzo, aka Guaccio, Guaccius is a book published by an Italian priest with some illustrations of what he imagined could be a Sabbath, and gives a description of it; a brief summary can be cited as an example: "the attendants go riding flying goats, trample the cross, are made to be re-baptised in the name of the Devil, give their clothes to him, kiss the Devil's behind, and dance back to back forming a round".

The most common belief on which authors agreed is that Satan was present at the Sabbath, often as a goat or satyr, and many agreed that more demons were present. Another belief said that sometimes a person could offer his/her own body to be possessed by some demon serving as a medium. It was believed that the Sabbath commenced at midnight and ended at dawn, beginning with a procession, continuing with a banquet, then a Black Mass, and culminating with an orgy in which non-marital or sexual intercourse with demons in male or female form was practised. Consumption of hallucinogens and sometimes alcohol was often reported.

According to folklore, the Sabbath was most often celebrated in isolated places, preferably forests or mountains.

CASTELLANO

This image, created with the help of artificial intelligence, arises from the ability to shape visions simply by describing what you desire. A woman wrapped in white veils, suspended on the surface of a deep blue sea, stands against the sun illuminating a sky filled with shades of blue, white, and black. Her hands reach upward, in a gesture of invocation or acceptance of an unseen energy. A visual experience that blends technology and art, exploring new expressive forms to convey emotions and atmospheres with simplicity and power.

View of one of the windows near the apse of the hermitage of San Juan in Riaza, Segovia, Spain.

As the hermitage follows the original orientation of the pre-Christian temples, placing the apse towards the East, this window is oriented towards the South.

In it you can see a cross on the triangular symbol of Mount Calvary and the representation of the Moon and the Sun, which has been inherited from the times when the Visigoths were in the Iberian Peninsula, currently Spain and Portugal. (Between the years 507 and 711).

Curiously, in German the Moon is masculine (der Mond) and the Sun feminine (die Sonne).

Also on the window lintel is written the "YEAR OF 1783", the year in which it is believed that a restoration of the hermitage was carried out. Year that many citizens of the United States of America remember with special affection.

Located to the north of the town, this hermitage is dedicated to the invocation of San Juan Bautista and has a small meadow with some trees.

In the meadow there is a stone cross, which is dated 1553.

Inside this hermitage there are several images, among them a beautiful carving of Santiago the Apostle, and others of San Roque, San Juan Bautista and San Juan Evangelista.

There are also some processional scenes that are exhibited in the Holy Thursday processions during Holy Week in Riaza, such as the Virgen de las Angustias image and the Prendimiento scene. (Source: Riaza City Council website).
