This stamp was issued in 1918. It depicts a Curtiss JN-4 airplane, which was used to carry mail, and commemorated the first regular airmail route. The fact that the plane was printed upside down was soon discovered- experts think there were only about 100 of the stamps issued. A block of 4 inverted Jenny stamps was sold for 2.9 million dollars in 2005.
When I acquired these 2x2 inverted slopes, I had a discussion with the seller/collector about their origin. I remembered that the Agents theme from 2008-2009 used a bunch of parts in Drum Lacquered Silver and that was indeed what the seller told me. He said those parts were purchased around that time and were most likely to be used in that theme. From the research I did, it is most likely that these slopes were intended to be included in Set 8969 “4-Wheeling Pursuit” (www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=8969-1&am...) from 2009 where we can see this part being used in Medium Stone Grey next to a metallic silver looking sticker and Part 6070 in Drum Lacquered Silver (on the side of the vehicle). About the reason against using this part, I can only speculate. It could be the fact that due to its edges, this part tends to wear a lot but at the same time, other parts would wear simmilarily. So if anyone has an idea, please let me know.
Details about the parts:
Part Nr. 3660
Colour: 298 Cool Silver, Drum Lacquered / Metallic Silver
Mould Number: 10
I have been lucky to get my hands on a bunch of those if anyone is interested in trading or buying.

I just could not find a way to invert the colors on my Mac. Maybe one day I'll learn so I adjusted some of the settings.
The inverter along with the capacitors cleans up DC current and wild AC current while trying to maintain constant voltage. and transfers usable AC Current for energy needs.

The idea of the project is to achieve urban density in St Louis, which is highly suburbanized and has no dense cultural city center. This project is an approach to re-urbanize the surroundings of the city center, and to deal with the old modernist project.
Pruitt Igoe wasn’t a bad project. There were just too many issues outside architecture that lead to its failure, among others economy, ongoing suburbanization, and racial issues. All of them had nothing to do with the projects architecture itself. The new project tries to reassemble the old complex in a contemporary form, dealing with the loss of density. This is also why the competition site is extended to Pruitt Igoe’s original boarders.
Pruitt Igoe is reconstructed throughout its former figure-ground relegation. The new project is an inverted Pruitt Igoe with the common areas located at the center of original towers, and the housing units sprawling over the former common space. The towers are turned over; rooms are disassembled and then rearranged according to their program and their site specific position. The old project manipulates the design of the new housing project. Height, position and relation of elements are resulting directly throughout the old project, forming an indexical and aggregated figuration, which is giving the individualized resident a new form to live. The liberated ground underneath, the semipublic garden terraces and the accumulated housing units are making the project a three-dimensional suburb.

i am always looking to see how pics turn out inverted, but previously only found one that i liked, i think this one turned out nicely tho :)
This is the processed version of a clear drop shot. Very much an early effort, and the clear version lacked some drama and so I inverted it, pushed the levels and contrast, and cleaned up most of the extraneous drops.
For an early effort I am pretty pleased with how it has turned out, but boy is there a high miss rate on these shots!
Another inverted color shot. I'm still stunned by those browns and greens! It's the back of a flower; if you look closely you can see where the stem is broken off.
Two of the columns in the northwest corner of the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul have bases made from blocks that were carved with the visage of medusa. It is unknown where these two heads actually came from. It is also unknown why one of the heads is placed upside down and the other is placed sideways.
