I'm getting so fed up with these damn gangs roving the streets of Hackettstown. Hitting up store owners for protection, pushing drugs, muggings...they don't even TRY to blend in anymore. And how are they allowed to carry FRIGGIN' SWORDS in plain sight? This is becoming a bad neighborhood.
Ok, ok...it was just some guys dressed up for the Saint Patrick's Day parade in Hackettstown, NJ on March 13, 2011. I was doing some laundry and when I put it in the dryer, I decided to take a walk and take some photos. Unbeknownst to me, there was a parade planned for the exact time that I went for the walk. Guess I was lucky that day...I took some neat pictures that I'm working through right now. Also, if this text offended you, just wait until I start making the skirt references XD.
I'm quite unhappy with the crooked "Main" street sign. It's the sign itself that's crooked. The pole is vertical (that's what I used to straigten the image)

Shot with a Canon EF on Fuji Neopan SS film (ISO 100). Old FD 135mm f/2.5 lens.
Development info:
2 minute presoak in 20 Deg. Celcius tap water
Kodak D76 @ 20 Deg. Celcius for 8.5 minutes, mixed 1:1 with tap water. Inverted constantly for the first 15 seconds, then 3 inversion every minute thereafter.
Vinegar Stop Bath

The inverted performance of Thunderbird 5: the pilots all wear tailored flight suits with their name and jet number embroidered on the left breast. The suit for the pilot of the number 5 airplane has the number sewn upside-down.
Rainbow chard can be a beautiful riot of colours. It doesn't care that it's doing things back to front - it's taking its cues from underwear-on-the-outside superheros.

This inverted image shows stars streaming from two dwarf satellite galaxies going to NGC 4216 and looping around beneath the bright star to come back in at the very close satellite galaxy PGC 39247. The middle section of the upper arc does not show. There are two other streams/condensations to the right of the main galaxy.

One shading solution is to fit a micro-inverter on each panel. This way each panel is optimised for the lighting conditions.

No doubt, some of you will think I miss the sixties and/or I had too much fun then. Well, neither one is true. I like colors, and patterns and experimentation and veering off consensual reality - without drugs, legal or not.
Yes, it's another old and crappy shot from Old, Fat & Slow 2009. The only thing that made me post it here was this Makke's totally fucked up and so siiiick invert at Jyväskylä indoor skateparks vert wall. This shit is ill, for real!

Today, we got a nice spring rain. So, after it finished, I went to the bog garden to see what photographic opportunities there would be.
The pitcher plant buds are plump and just about ready to open. Hanging at the base of each one of the flower buds, is a rain drop which acts as an additional lens. To see what image it was focusing, I had to get up tight with my macro lens. Turns out, you can see the fence and the house across the street. Neat experiment!
