This pic reminds me of the scene from "Top Gun":

Goose: No, he was man. It was a really great move. He was inverted.

Charlie: You were in a 4g inverted dive with a MiG28?

Maverick: Yes, ma'am.

Charlie: At what range?

Maverick: Um, about two meters.

Goose: It was actually about one and a half I think. It was one and a half. I've got a great Polaroid of it, and he's right there, must be one and a half.

Happy hauntings!

Stanage Edge, or simply Stanage is a gritstone escarpment in the Peak District, England, famous as a location for climbing. The northern part of the edge forms the border between the High Peak of Derbyshire and Sheffield in South Yorkshire.

It was the S shape of the fence - albeit an inverted S - that attracted me to this motive. An arch typical composition element in photography.

Its ended up as a heavily processed, monochrome, split-tone processed winter landscape shot.

This is a real photo, not a composite! [080719]

This one had to be documented immediately. A drop or two of water got in the camera, probably through the pinhole, allowing mold to grow in a filigreed network of nearly microscopic filaments. Who knows if the object will last with a biological element living on and in its fibers? Also, once it’s fixed and rinsed, that delicate tracery may wash away.

This bearded seal flipped over as our boat approached - I guess to convince us that he (or she) wasn't concerned.

These shots were taken by using an air pistol to pop the balloon filled with water. They were taken in the dark to get a 2 second exposure, using a flash (@ 1/128) as the shutter with the sound of the pistol triggering it.

Macro of bracken fern with invert colors edit. I dislike these ferns, they spread underground and are hard to get rid of. But they are prehistoric looking up close. They have survived since about the time of the dinosaurs.

This is an inverted version of 'Knautia Reflecting' posted earlier...

The more I've looked at it - the more compelling I have found it (but maybe I've just been mesmerised by the 'other-worldliness' of it....hmmmmmm..)

This is a photo looking up an old drain pipe in my friend's yard. I can't remember what program I used but I know I applied some sort of invert filter and this is what came out. I gotta remember to try this again elsewhere. :-)
