It was the S shape of the fence - albeit an inverted S - that attracted me to this motive. An arch typical composition element in photography.
Its ended up as a heavily processed, monochrome, split-tone processed winter landscape shot.

The more I've looked at it - the more compelling I have found it (but maybe I've just been mesmerised by the 'other-worldliness' of it....hmmmmmm..)

This is a photo looking up an old drain pipe in my friend's yard. I can't remember what program I used but I know I applied some sort of invert filter and this is what came out. I gotta remember to try this again elsewhere. :-)
The description of this week's theme of the '52 weeks of 2014' group triggered me to use an old negative from the family archives. The negative shows my oldest son at the age of 9, back in 1997. Oh my, I feel old suddenly.
After taking the picture, I inverted the colours, having the effect that the negative looks normal now, but the rest gets inverted. Then, I used a bunch of effects from Color Efex Pro for further cross processing.

Now there's something different to do with a badly exposed shot, invert the colours. Maybe not everyone's taste but I think it works here. Taken whilst on The Slip at Macduff.
I didn't see it at first, but the end of day shade sort of isolated the shot for me. I also knew that the colors would be enhanced by the warmer light of the time. Fortunately or unfortunately, I couldn't do a thing about the small speck at the bottom of the T, because I was on the wrong side of the fence. Does it add or detract, what do you think?
Camera toss that was inverted from the original image. Just some sharpening and balancing of the image, but no other filters...

This one had to be documented immediately. A drop or two of water got in the camera, probably through the pinhole, allowing mold to grow in a filigreed network of nearly microscopic filaments. Who knows if the object will last with a biological element living on and in its fibers? Also, once it’s fixed and rinsed, that delicate tracery may wash away.

Speed in the sun would be around one asa. I will shoot it even a bit slower.
This is the original inverted, black and white gradient photo that inspired me to create a piece that had a more digital media and artistic tone. The paint on the subject's face was used because of the success I had while using it for my high key project. I also felt that photographing men would be an interesting change since I was not used to photographing men before this project. I have definitely learned a lot from this project editing and photographing-wise.
