From the archives. A shot with Kenko 1.4x Tele-converter and Canon EF 70-300mm. The combination is certainly OK if compared with a P&S bridge camera, but its not what i gambled for even after reading the reviews of this combination. Next step will be to get a L series lens to justify the Tele-converter purchase :P. For those wondering on the sharpness degradation, check shot of same bird without TC in comments below.

Actually it is not an inverted shot :) This is a real output from camera with no corrections at all. The trick is long exposure and light painting. I've spend about 10 seconds with LED flashlight directly behind the flower and them other 10 seconds lighting the whole tulip from above.
This is a croped version of the Horseshoe falls in Ontario, Canada. The image was taken from room # 3711 @ the Embassy Suites. I used my Canon G7 for the timeelapsed image you see here. The image has been inverted.

Previously posted; I recently printed this picture off for a gallery and discovered that the reflection is so clear that you can't tell the different between reality and reflection...
A bit of a topsy turvy edition for this weeks scrabble sunday!

Is the title really indicative of this shot? Sort of. It's not wrong. However, you have to admit that it's a kind of cool title. Anyhow, we're looking a little closer at the strange little fly or moth that I posted yesterday. It didn't move much then and I doubt that it would have moved at all unless I disturbed it. If I had to guess, I'd say that this little guy really banks on the efficiency of its camouflage rather than its aerial aerobatics to elude predators.

It seems I'm fascinated with backlighting glass and other objects. I didn't realize I had the patience to set up these shots, but apparently, I do.

An outtake from a previous concept on shooting from a different perspective. It was a cold morning in the low 30's and inversion seemed like a quick way to accomplish this. meh..... I'm behind on everything.....so outtakes are the order of the day. Happy Sunday!

Another busy week been and gone yay……. Although I'm not sure that I should be wishing my life away :-)
I’ve been meaning to try this for a year now but I’ve just never got around to doing it.
Anyhow the other day I cleared out the garage so that I could build my water drop setup and do other photography based projects.
I took over 200 photos and got a couple of keepers, well I got loads that were in focus but I only got a couple that had the smoke formations that I was looking for!
I think that when I do these again I’ll have a better idea of how achieve what I want… you should give it a go it’s pretty good fun!!
I’ve got another one of these that I’m working on but I’ll save that upload for another day.
Have a great weekend everyone what ever you’re doing!!
