These guys popped up all over my lawn after a recent storm, so I got down on the grass and took some shots. I liked this one the best.

So this is possibly the trickiest macro shot I have ever done. This little chap is probably a Polydrusus sericeus, introduced to the UK from central Europe in grain shipments, I asked if to see it's visa but was met with silence. He\she\it is sitting on my right index finger, as I didn't have my tripod with me this was taken one handed(left handed at that), using possibly the most unorthodox camera grip ever. Left hand under lens balancing body between thumb and index finger using my middle finger to press the shutter. It's lucky I have long fingers.......
I've included a shot taken with my 24-105 in comments to give an indication of scale. I hope this puts to bed the fallacy that men can't multitask, because I changed lenses with my left hand while balancing a small green weevil in the right hand. Both shots are also entirely SooC bar RAW>Jpeg conversion.

Hands down, one of the better animated shows ever to come from Nickelodeon... which they canceled immediately following the 9/11/01 attacks in New York City and Washington, DC. Yes, he was part of an invading force for a hostile race but it was an over-the-top freakin' cartoon!! Not real life, people. Sheesh!
