An old algorithm engraved on an Epilog laser engraver into harvested cedar.

The input image here was rasterized into the wood. At this printing size, the image was about 280 dpi. The laser is capable of 20x that resolution (on some materials).

Tile mosaic art by Invader, seen here as part of the Legacy ANZAC Centenary Street Art Mural, Drewery Lane, Melbourne, Australia. This street art project began in 2014 and includes hundreds of mosaic tiles created by friends, clients and supporters of Legacy. Legacy is a charity that supports widows, children, and disabled dependents of Australia’s injured or deceased military veterans. ANZAC stands for "Australia and New Zealand Army Corps".

Under these clouds 2 kyters seem like space invaders.

This space invader could be seen from a distance from the hill of Notre-Dame de la Garde. I went down to the scene to flash and capture this one. It was my 1404th space invader flashed.

Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.

The latest in Invader technology. This particular ship contains a small rover for the pilot.

I actually built this before I saw pictures of the new Blacktron Cruiser GWP, so any resemblance is coincidence. Heck, when It wasn't even intended to be like the original Invader either.

Grass and weeds invading the dance floor at the Starlight Roller Skating Rink and outdoor dance hall located between Toquerville and Pintura on the old Cedar City highway, parts of which are now I-15.

From the sketchy information I have been able to gather about this place, it was built in the early 1940's and functioned as both an outdoor dance hall in the big band days and a roller skating rink. The faded words over the band shell say Starlight Roller Rink. The oldest resident in Pintura tells me that the place was abandoned around 1953 just as the Korean Conflict was ending.
