This is my "Oh Shit!" button on my Intuos 4. It's a custom function I made to undo things in Photoshop. It's mapped to Command+Option+Z.

I took this right outside canada computer, he same day I bought my Intuos 4. A very expensive day, and a very expensive piece of equipment to have..... but worth every penny.
My response to Gail Brodholt. The medium chosen is digital using a Wacom Intuos Pro drawing tablet and Adobe Photoshop. These technologies were chosen due to the lack of access to printmaking materials during lockdown, therefore I tried to recreate Brodholt's style in photoshop through focusing on the formal element of colour. I wanted to present my creative intentions of how man in contemporary society is tied to the urban landscape which responds to the brief in presenting a form of manipulated landscape to raise awareness on the importance of these spaces. During this specific case of the pandemic I thought it would be fitting to convey the notions of London Transport with the colour green as a sickly and biological stigma. The fantastical choices in colour enhance the view of the pandemic as omnipresent, which would be a powerful installment at an exhibition in a public space. I specifically wanted to explore using urban scenes as a reference for my practice as it is more fitting than a rural landscape when presented with man. This is a development from my initial preliminary piece that presented the connection between man and urban.
the white stuff was a bit too much (I'm still convinced it was the way to go but I haven't mastered the ancient art of compositing yet )
this versions is more "classic", I tried to solve the constrast problem that lead me to use white to "even" the two pictures by slightly sliding pitch black to a yelloyish black
still not there but I'm having a lot of fun with my new tablet (a wacom intuos, nothing like my old graphire)

I have my Wacom intuos3 6"x8" tablet for sale! I'm going to be buying
a larger one since I do a lot more sketching and am starting to do
illustration work on my mbp. The mat is a little scratched up as you
can see in the picture, but it is replaceable. Everything else is 4/5
condition. I have owned the tablet for about a year now and i've
mainly used it for editing photos which it is AMAZING for. A new one
is $330 but i'm down to let it go for $280. It sounds expensive but
these tablets hold their value pretty well since it's basically an
industry standard. Post up a comment if you're interested!
