Tracing of American Weekly 3740. I hope to start making tracings of my pattern packet illustrations to make concept drawings.
Messing around, finally, with the Intuos4 drawing pad my dad got me for Christmas. I've tried to tell him not to get me any more technology since I never have time to learn to use it, but at least this is pretty simple. I made a copy of the original pattern illustration, cleaned it up a little, then faded it to as pale a gray as I could still see, then traced over it in a darker color and erased the original wherever it showed under the tracing. I'm sure there's a more efficient method, but this worked pretty well.
Yes, drawing pad users everywhere are laughing at me, but this is the first time I've ever used the thing, so cut me some slack.

This is my desk. What a MESS! Yes that's three computers stacked up there. Dell Optiplex 200 something, my own c2d system, and my old amd athlon64 system getting the Windoz Srvr 2008 treatment.
this can be the beginning image..first time with my intuos, i tried to draw something usual. It may seem like "drawn by a child" :)
The digital recreation of 'Used'/'Used boots'. I created this on a Wacom Intuos tablet on Photoshop. I used block colours as an experiment, deciding not to use any form of shading or depth, relying on solely colour to make the image pop. I don't think I could've picked any better colours, as the yellow stands out nicely against the pink and compliments itself with the bottle green shoelaces and white soles.

Kate and Steve were able to talk to the management @ the Bing Crosby restaurant to allow us to take their engagement session before the place opened up for business. Extremely fun shoot.
