Intuitive Yoga Practice | Gentle Core Flow for Strength, Gut Intuition & Calm
This intuitive yoga practice is a gentle core yoga flow designed to help you build strength, reconnect with your gut intuition, and calm your nervous system.
There’s a difference between forcing yourself through a “core workout” and actually feeling connected to your own center. Most of us were taught to hold our stomach in, power through sit-ups, and treat our midsection like a project. The mind stays in charge, the nervous system stays on edge, and the quiet guidance that lives in the belly gets drowned out.
This class is an intuitive yoga practice for your core.
Sweet Core Connection is a 40-minute intuitive yoga practice and gentle core yoga flow you can do at home. It’s slow, kind, and still deeply strengthening. Instead of pushing, you’re invited to listen: to your breath, your belly, your inner sense of “this feels right” or “this is too much today.”
We start seated with simple belly breathing. Eyes closed, attention resting in the middle of your belly, feeling your navel expand as you inhale and draw back as you exhale. No sucking in. No performing. Just you and your center, waking back up.
From there, the practice unfolds as a slow flow core yoga sequence. You move through deep, controlled activation on your back, gentle waves from downward dog into plank, and standing poses like Warrior I, Warrior II, Side Angle, Triangle, Warrior III, and Side Plank. Every shape is offered as an invitation, with space to follow what your body is actually asking for moment to moment.
In the middle, there’s a bit of fire: Boat Pose (Navasana) with Lion’s Breath to build core strength and clear some of the tension and frustration that tends to live in the belly. Then we soften again into hip openers, forward folds, and twists to unwind your low back, hips, and midsection.
The end of class is where the intuitive part really lands. You rest in a reclined Goddess pose with the soles of your feet together, one hand on your belly and one on your heart. We stay there and breathe into your center, visualizing your inner fire, the part of you that digests food, emotions, and experiences. It’s simple intuitive yoga for gut intuition and nervous system regulation: less “push yourself,” more “come home to yourself.”
We close with a quiet Shavasana so your body and nervous system have time to absorb what you’ve done.
This intuitive yoga practice is for you if you’ve been looking for a way to:
• strengthen your core without attacking it
• feel grounded, clear, and present in your own body
• support your nervous system instead of frying it
• reconnect with your gut intuition and the deep “yes/no” in your belly
You’ll finish feeling steadier and more centered - not wrecked.

At Anamaya, we’ve watched so many guests arrive tight, wired, and exhausted - and leave more rooted in their bodies, their breath, and their next chapter. This class is one small piece of that work you can do from wherever you are.
If your body has been whispering that it’s tired of bracing and ready for a different kind of strength, this intuitive yoga practice is for you.
