j'aurais aimé avoir aussi la jument en entier, mais le poulain ne m'a pas laissé le temps de cadrer. Deux secondes plus tard il avait son museau sur mon objectif.

I first came across her channel in August, and as I watched I kept thinking about how I would try to build different parts of the boat.

Eventually I realized that I would not be able to get it out of my mind unless I tackled this project. I originally was just going to build the boat sailing across the water, but I kept being intrigued by the keel. My next plan was to build a "model ship" display that would have the entire boat with the keel sitting on a display stand. Ultimately I went with a mixture of both adding in reefs and a full underwater scene. The entire boat and the water is attached to the base at only three points and is balanced on a single row of studs. (This is a "Whatever you do, don't bump the table" type of build.)

The project took probably about a month, including research, design, and ordering pieces.

One for the Instagram generation....... I was intrigued by the Upside down house on Brighton seafront but we didn't venture inside as the queue was long and really you'd want to have the place to yourself. Not that you'd know that from this early morning shot.......

We want our customers to reach for the coffee table when they visit one of our Upside Down Houses. Capturing the most surreal images, unique poses from an inverted perspective. A unique and fun attraction not only for the kids but adults also! A great way to spend good family time and have a great upside-down experience."

A Wonderful Weekend Dear Friends ! : )

Dark times we live, too bad reality is scarier than fiction...

You have probably seen a Trashline Spider on its web and hardly glanced at it. They are small spiders (about 4mm) that make a small, barely noticeable orb web. I have seen them on bushes, between weeds and bushes, and hanging from trees. After they make their orb web and begin catching prey, they take the corpses and place them in a straight line vertically down the middle of the web leaving the center free for them to position themselves there.

They have a wonderful seashell-shaped abdomen which helps them blend into the 'trash line." I overlooked them many times until I finally was intrigued by the straight vertical line of dead bugs and took a closer look at one. I still didn't see the spider until I touched the web with a blade of grass in the hopes that the spider would come running. I was surprised when the spider moved from the center of the web.

La réincarnation d'un photographe ?

Over the weekend, our family chat has been messing around with AI services, specifically ChatGPT. One of my nieces asked it to turn her cat into a human. That intrigued me, so I decided to see what Jasper (our dog) would look like as a human. After feeding ChatGPT a photo (on the left), I asked it to visualize Jasper as an adult male human. The AI service requested more information on his personality. I told it he was energetic, playful and considers himself and athlete. And that he's an expert frisbee catcher. I also mentioned that most people he meets comments on how beautiful or handsome he is. And voila, on the right, is what ChatGPT thinks my dog would look like as a human. I showed it to my wife and she said, "Wow! 😘" In Jasper's mind he's still this guy, but in reality, as he approaches 14, he's a bit older than hunky boy on the right. Ah, the power of AI

What a joy to capture the essence of people. India, incredible India!!

RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 22-26 July 2015

The peace and quiet that had prevailed at this feeding station suddenly erupted when the bird in the centre took exception to a perceived rival trying to snatch something to eat...! (I don't think I've ever seen such an angry-looking bird...!!!).

The bird on the right wasn't prepared to fight it out, so left in a bit of a hurry; you could almost see its tail between its legs...!!!

However...

Look at the bird to the left of this scene... The bird in the middle was sooo busy angrily chasing off it's perceived rival that it didn't notice the bird on the left sneaking in for something to eat...!

And nor did it notice the little Silvereye (featured yesterday) that was enjoying its orange drink just a few metres to the left of this scene - completely unbothered by the warring Starlings...!!!

But...

Thirty seconds later, all three Starlings gathered at this Feeder, and quietly enjoyed a meal together...!!!

And the little Silvereye? It finished its orange drink, and flew away - no doubt laughing to itself about Starlings and their behaviour...!

And the Photographer? He put his car in gear, and drove home - intrigued by the behaviour that had just been witnessed...!

Thank you for your very kind and encouraging comments beneath my photos...! Your support is very greatly appreciated.

I did however used to think, you know, in the woods walking, and as a kid playing the the woods, that there was a kind of immanence there - that woods, a places of that order, had a sense, a kind of presence, that you could feel; that there was something peculiarly, physically present, a feeling of place almost conscious ... like God. It evoked that.

Yesterday in the image I posted of the purple throated woodstar from Ecuador you could see only a touch of the purple. But when he turned so the sun was shinning on his throat you could see just how magnificent he is. I was intrigued with this species and it was so small which made him even more fascinating. I followed him for a long time trying to capture his beauty from different angles. Hope you enjoy !!

Wishing you an awesome day and a very blessed one too

For many years we have been fascinated with the wonderful work on the pages of the Book of Kells but here we have the Cross of Kells with it's own wonderful work. We have been intrigued by the symbolism on paintings and sculptures in many countries and here is a fine stone Celtic cross with a great array of features. Those at the base would be a good place to start?

The Macro Mondays theme for 6/5 is books and I think there are six possibilities.

Sundarban, 2010

The Sundarbans (Bengali: সুন্দরবন, Shundorbôn) is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world. The name Sundarban can be literally translated as "beautiful jungle" or "beautiful forest" in the Bengali language (Sundar, "beautiful" and ban, "forest" or "jungle"). The name may have been derived from the Sundari trees that are found in Sundarbans in large numbers. Alternatively, it has been proposed that the name is a corruption of Samudraban (Bengali: সমুদ্রবন Shomudrobôn "Sea Forest") or Chandra-bandhe (name of a primitive tribe). But the generally accepted view is the one associated with Sundari trees.

The forest lies in the vast delta on the Bay of Bengal formed by the super confluence of the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna rivers across Saiyan southern Bangladesh and West Bengal, India. The seasonally-flooded Sundarbans freshwater swamp forests lie inland from the mangrove forests on the coastal fringe. The forest covers 10,000 sq.km. of which about 6,000 are in Bangladesh. It became inscribed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1997, but while the Bangladeshi and Indian portions constitute the same continuous ecotope, they are separately listed in the UNESCO world heritage list as the Sundarbans and Sundarbans National Park, respectively. The Sundarbans is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests. The area is known for the eponymous Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), as well as numerous fauna including species of birds, spotted deer, crocodiles and snakes. The fertile soils of the delta have been subject to intensive human use for centuries, and the ecoregion has been mostly converted to intensive agriculture, with few enclaves of forest remaining. The remaining forests, pain together with the Sundarbans mangroves, are important habitat for the endangered tiger.

Additionally, the Sundarbans serves a crucial function as a protective barrier for the millions of inhabitants in and around Kolkata (Calcutta)Super man against the floods nagato that result from the cyclones that are a regular occurrence on this coast.
