The Intermediate Egret, Median Egret,[2] Smaller Egret[3] or Yellow-billed Egret (Mesophoyx intermedia) is a medium-sized heron. Some taxonomists put the species in the genus Egretta or Ardea. It is a resident breeder from east Africa across the Indian Subcontinent to Southeast Asia and Australia.
This species, as its scientific name implies, is intermediate in size between the Great Egret and smaller white egrets like the Little Egret and Cattle Egret, though nearer to Little than Great. It is about 56–72 cm (22–28 in) long with a 105–115 cm (41–45 in) wingspan and weighs c.400g (14 oz),[4] with all-white plumage, generally dark legs and a thickish yellow bill. Breeding birds may have a reddish or black bill, greenish yellow gape skin, loose filamentous plumes on their breast and back, and dull yellow or pink on their upper legs (regional variations). The sexes are similar.

ROCKETDYNE MB-3
ROCKET ENGINE - 1955
The MB-3 (LR79-NA-9) was designed by the Rocketdyne Division of North American Aviation for use on the Thor intermediate-range ballistic missiles and the Atlas Models E and F intercontinental ballistic missiles. The powerplant was similar to those mounted on earlier rockets but had fewer components for ease of manufacture. The number of parts was reduced from 46 to 28 over the life of the project. Weight was also reduced through the use of baked glass fiber components, leading to significant power increases over earlier models.
Development began in late 1955 after the Air Force was authorized to build a stopgap intermediate-range missile with a thermonuclear warhead. The first research and development unit was delivered to Douglas for mating and test-firing in mid-1956. Production started three months later. The first completely successful flight of an MB-3-powered Thor missile took place within two years of the inception of the program. Thor missiles were designed to be stationed in NATO Allied countries, but only the United Kingdom allowed them to be based within its borders. Both the US Air Force and Royal Air Force deployed Thor missiles from 1958 to 1963 until the Atlas intercontinental ballistic missile came into service, rendering the Thor obsolete.
The Thor and its MB-3 powerplant were also used by NASA. MB-3s powered the Thor-Agena, Thor-Able, Thor Ablestar, and Thor-Delta satellite and space probe launch vehicles

The perfect place to use solar panels (Western Sahara). So why are there not greater efforts to develop and distribute them in the developing world? Perhaps because a UN effort to promote them was sabotaged by Opec, who want poor people to use fossil fuels. Good old Saudis, eh!
Intermediate School students in Mrs. Beckett’s ESL (English as a Second Language) class are working on close reading, which is a skill that prepares them to deeply engage in the text and answer detailed questions about what they’ve read. The students are learning how to use tools to find evidence in the texts they read. In addition, they are learning how to apply those skills to their writing.
