Bolted waterproof micro switch to top plate. Welded a nut to the adjustment bolt nut and added a second bolt to actuate switch lever. Added lock nuts to hold it all firm.

Drawing of fish scanned, painted, and repeated in Photoshop

A slightly better view of the pattern. I finished them a couple weeks ago but was so tired of knitting them, I set them aside. Just sewed in the ends today.

For "Our Daily Challenge ... different angles"

Street paving out the front of my son's place. The black speckles a small sharply angled pieces of gravel also.

The original of this is an A3 sized drawing done with compasses, rulers and pencil. This is a rough colour-treatment that I did in photoshop of the scan.

In progress - gives a better view of the structure.

"Interlocked" - Machinery - Epic Personal Challenge #2. This is my shot for this weeks challenge. The goal of the challenge to keep the creative juices flowing with my good friend and fellow photographer, Christine Duncan. My shot this week is of two of the the main gears for the blanket cylinder of an offset newspaper press. With all of the gears being metal, I choose to go with a b&w image for this. I used a real tight crop to just show the edges of the gears where they meet. I thought it worked well and showed off the detail. With the poor lighting on the backside of a press I needed to use my flash. Even trying to bounce or diffuse the flash still left me with some hot areas due to the surface of these gears being covered in oil. I also struggled with this weeks challenge. My original idea (which was to shoot different part of the press and give it a grungy dark look) that did not pan out so well. I could not get the image to look like I envisioned it in my head. So I decided to go with the different gears in the press. These two gears are about the size of a dinner plate and about 1" thick. I will link Christine's image here so you can see her vision of our challenge.
