The base of this kitchen was made using the LAQ kitchen that has been recolored. Items from The Loft (island, modified) and Digs (pantry) were used as main building pieces as well.
Continuing with the series within a series on public art in Singapore, these reflective balls were between the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Singapore River.

It had been about 7 years since I had last used my panoramic head, a Nodal Ninja 3. This pano has 26 pictures : 3 rows of 8 pictures + 1 zenith + 1 nadir, stitched together using Hugin.
Vaulted ceilings always provide for more room and height to design your ceilings. With T&G ceilings, this interactive space has been designed with class and elegance. Wood is the dominant material in the design and is used well for the furniture, floors and the ceiling. It's also present as the cladding for the central fireplace feature that stands out.

During a break from photographic road trip adventures and editing over the Christmas Holiday's, I occasionally had a peek into the iPhoto library at past wintery scenes and places archived. I seriously didn't know where to start. Our seasonal temperatures in Southern Alberta reached a 100 year record high on Wednesday at 15C. We'll need to import snow very soon. A year ago we were freezing in frigid temperatures and relocating snow banks.
Interact versus Interac was also a reoccurring theme in my head over the holidays. The credit card spending variety versus the hub or rural meeting place, the crumbling rural small town General Store registered from a bygone time. Somewhere near Lemsford/Prelate in Saskatchewan I discovered this memory, a place where strangers were known, deals likely created, and friendly faces comforting. I'm not certain Interac was in the development IT laboratories. But I do believe plenty of Interacting was good medicine.

Here is a blast from the recent past. I'd forgotten I'd had made several frame grabs from HD video (using my Samsung A35 smartphone) of the Interactive Display at the Academy Museum. This was back on March 16, 2025.
My description of this comes from something I'd posted back in March:
" Color in Motion: Chromatic Explorations of Cinema exhibit at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. In this room we see an interactive screen, where kids really get into the interactive part. Waving their hands around they manipulate the splashes of color projected on to the screen."
I am using this frame grab, because I like the moment I captured on video. The children were really having fun, getting into it more than anything else at the museum. They are too young to appreciate the classic films at the museum, so this is a great substitute for them. Hopefully, it will get them to understand that film (cinema) is all about the moving image.

This is another frame grab, taken from the right side of the screen. I thought the vertical angle worked better here, though whenever I get back to this museum I will try horizontal framing, perhaps even with the ultra-wide lens, just to see what kind of surreal imagery comes out of it.

Any how this is a little idea of what I do once I get the photos loaded up. I do like to crop an image to make it more relevant or to take distractions away. Sometimes its done to try and make a point to bring a feel to an image.
So here we have the same image that's been cropped. The first image is the original. the second is part of a cropped images of the first and the third is a close up crop. all three stand alone and could be posted over a number of days with a nice narrative added to each.
Yeah you will probably be subjected to these at some point

A cataclysmic cosmic collision takes center stage in this image taken with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. The image features the interacting galaxy pair IC 1623, which lies around 275 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus (the Whale). The two galaxies are in the final stages of merging, and astronomers expect a powerful inflow of gas to ignite a frenzied burst of star formation in the resulting compact starburst galaxy.
This interacting pair of galaxies is a familiar sight; Hubble captured IC 1623 in 2008 using two filters at optical and infrared wavelengths on the Advanced Camera for Surveys. This image incorporates data from Wide Field Camera 3, and combines observations taken in eight filters spanning infrared to ultraviolet wavelengths to reveal the finer details of IC 1623. Future observations of the galaxy pair with the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope will shed more light on the processes powering extreme star formation in environments such as IC 1623.
