Podomyrma adelaidae. While photographing the interaction between the Muscleman Patch ants and Iridomyrmex ants I took quite a few photos and videos of the Patch ants going about their lives outside the nest. These ants are about 7mm in length, are predators of other invertebrates and are primarily arboreal.
Safely at ground level a patch ant carries a Lerp retrieved from the leaves in the canopy. Lerps are the conical sugary excretions that provide protection for the tiny sap-sucking Psyllid bugs. If they're lucky the ants get the bug as well as the sugary cover.

This is a shot of a group of 4 guys, interacting in front of McDonald's in school. They're probably discussing what to get for lunch and are enjoying their chatter whilst in the queue. I position the boy in the white shirt on the axis using the Rule of Thirds, as he is wearing the colour that would provide the most contrast between himself and the rest of his friends. In addition, his other friends are wearing dark-coloured tees.
