This is the same as the preceding photo.Sometimes I accidentally post images twice. I actually have different versions of this. Perhaps i will post them as a mosaic.

The rosy hued golden hour with the setting sun on the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona. Finger rock is in the shadows.

The landscape is much simplified and intensified in the reflections. I loved the graphic look of the shapes created by late afternoon light and water... and from soft ripples coming from something moving unseen in the water.
Sedona has so many photo opportunities, it's almost overwhelming. Bell Rock Sedona, AZ USA taken at sunrise.
... the colours, tastes and smells of what we remember. Things were bigger and brighter then, funnier and more carefree - and we yearn for what never quite was! I guess that's what nostalgia is ;o)
Happy Sliders Sunday!
For the 115 in 2015 Group - #82 Nostalgia
I wanted to make a many layered image - that is quite visually rich. As it developed I thought about how memory gives a special, rich glow to places and events - tastes and smells remembered seem more intense ..... so I took a personal blend of ice and a champagne glass, put it together with a shot of acer leaves (both in the first comment field)
And then used ...

I don't know what Wordsworth was on about - clouds in the Lake District are rarely lonely; they roam around in huge gangs.
My first morning of photography in Iceland was one I will never forget. Walking a few hundred paces without getting knocked over by intensifying gusty winds felt like an accomplishment in itself. Harsh weather is a great time to get outdoors and behind a tripod...as long as you have some like-minded friends to help dig you out of the snow drifts if need be.
I was blasted by snow all day and night, but I most certainly had a blast!
A contrived moment where the photographer waits to see if another person can fill the scene at the extreme opposite edge of the photograph. Cropping too intensify the effect!

The final purpose of art is to intensify, even, if necessary, to exacerbate, the moral consciousness of people. - Norman Mailer (1923-2007)

Dawn is feeding time for the little Whinchat (Saxicola rubetra). While common in Slovenia this little grassland bird is highly threatened by early mowing, grazing and intensification of meadows.
The specific climate of my city. Next to renovated and new buildings, there are places where time has stopped.
A strange mix of different worlds was created.

The best of all swords that have been carried in northern lands. It was renowned for supernatural sharpness and hardness, as well as for being imbued with the spirits of the king's 12 faithful berserker bodyguards…
This system quickly intensified over central Texas, causing 60 MPH winds and golf-ball sized hail. A small tornado was also reported but not confirmed.
A scene bursting with colour as the day breaks over Babbacombe beach, Torquay. I used 3 bracketed shots and blended them using HDR Efex Pro to intensify the colours and tones.
As the snow intensifies, the crew switches out the small yard in Lanoraie. At far left is the main track of the Trois-Rivières Sub.
One of the subjects I've photographed on numerous occasions backlit by the first sunset of the New Year... This has been worked on in MacPhun Intensify and Adobe Lightroom 4

Hilde and Rafi intend to go to Lisbon this year and I try to "prepare" them for the trip ;-) ...
normaly I chose a dark frame to enhance the light and brightness of a "dark" picture - but this tme it seemed to me that the white frame pushed the photo more - for whatever reasons white, blue and red work well together ...
what do you think ?
instead the dark frame doesn 't sidetrack or distract ... !
but don't forget to realize the photo itself ... ;-) ...

At around 4am sunday morning the eruption intensified alot. From a lightbrown plume to a massive dark one. About an hour later day turned to night at Kirkubæjarklaustur, a town 60km south of the eruption.

Meet the wonderful Arseniya.
Shot with the Sigma 50mm Art Lens wide open. I find it hard to get portraits done with only 50mm, but I think slowly I'm getting used to it.
Not much post editing done. I pretty much liked it out of the cam. I applied a VSCO Preset for the analog look and intensified the vignetting (which is pretty heavy on the Sigma by default).
First of the series, more to come.

The colors were dull,
The lives exhausted...
The nature was pale,
The leaves were dead..
Then came the rain...the long awaited rain;
And invigorated the lives, refreshed the nature and intensified the colors!

over the River Tamar. A long exposure gained by using a ten stop filter intensified the colours in what was already a spectacular sky.
As always as the colour intensifies we get the inevitable Atlantic lows with gales which does a good job of quickening the progress to winter!:)

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum is all about the stories of people who, armed with little more than some talent and a dream, go on to defy all odds and leave a lasting mark on both music and culture. The building itself is a magnificent structure as it stands proudly on the south shore of Lake Erie. It's splendor is most evident after dark, just like the music that it celebrates.
