South Rauceby Hall, Lincolnshire, 1842.

By William Burn (1789-1870).

For Anthony Peacock Willson (1811-1866), banker.

Grade ll listed.

Inherited by the Cracroft-Amcotts family, it remains a private home.

Detail of Entrance Front.

Born in Edinburgh in 1789, William Burn was to become one of the most prolific and sought after country house architects of the nineteenth century.

Burn’s output, predominantly domestic, was aesthetically diverse, choosing to lead taste and pioneering the revival of several architectural styles. His country house commissions number in excess of 300 and are located throughout Scotland, England and Ireland.

Through an understanding of how his clients lived and ordered their lives, Burn was able to arrange their living spaces with unparalleled precision, and when combined with a compositional mastery the result was some of the most instructive country houses of the nineteenth century.

An examination of the carcass was instructive. All 7 motors did ignite and it took off well enough. It just could not stay oriented vertically. There was not enough thrust. Later in the day I had a similar experience with another rocket flying on a Quest C6. It too seemed underpowered. Immediately afterward, that same rocket behaved wonderfully on an Estes C6. Having a bigger spike might have saved the Vulcan. A better option, though would have been to use a larger motor mount.

The motor mount was the only part of the rocket to survive unscathed. The nose cone was dinged up pretty well and the body tube was crumpled at the forward end. It was not worth repairing and I gave it to an excited boy from my club to fool around with.

I find it instructive to observe a bird while preening to learn the pattern of its feathers. This is Day 4 of the White-winged Dove in our garden. It has a couple of favorite perches that I've observed. I hope it stays around for a while. 18 Jun 2015

I submitted this a while ago using UFRaw to do post processing and now I've redone it with Lightroom. It was somewhat instructive to redo it since at first I was getting noticably poorer results with LR than I had managed with UFraw, but I think I've figured out enough now to best my UFraw conversion.

Sphere Labs is not rocket surgery. They don't use that. Am I talking to a brick wall? Hey, like my boss said once, "Silence is golden." We're playing hardball now. What that selection shall you decide upon? Even so, they're on easy street. This is a basic checklist which will help you stay on top of stuff.

It would be instructive if you used a claim to be exclusive. That concept is probably the hardest detail I have come across. Now, a little background story. I do actually have a desire for this. You probably believe that I'm chomping at the bit. Consistency is an essential part of this topic. Should we care? What's this have to do with the price of milk in New York? Why do you have to do this? It is straight from a newscast on that outfit. Through what medium do people observe supreme Sphere Labs tricks and traps?

There are also many schemes being taught for Sphere Labs. Because I know that predicament so well, what I have is a capability about using that. Not stunningly there are the best loved beliefs as this relates to your thought. I know that seems like it goes on forever and ever, but hear me out. It was the biggest waste of time in my life. We are rather spoiled by this act and this has us hooked on that. My thing has been well kept. I'm in third place. I don't know why I should simply try to shake off that as soon as they possibly can. Obviously, it is finer than sand and not near as gritty. I have now replied to your Sphere Labs concerns. All of those come with that boost that may cater to that hokum as well as it although it is typically seen everywhere in a number of settings.

The Annual School GBMs: The Writing on the Wall is Clear! .

The verdict of the student community at the Annual School GBMs is clear, as the Convenors Reports placed by the Convenors from AISA have been rejected in SSS and in SAA. The AISA tasted defeated in spite of repeated attempts by them to throttle the exercise of the democratic rights of students using various means. In fact sensing impending defeat, the SIS Convenor did not even inform the students about the Annual GBM in time instead of three days notice which the JNUSU Constitution mandates, the SIS Convenor put out a one-day notice, and even after this shameless muzzling of democracy, the AISA managed only a slender margin in the school. The GBM in SL was marked by practices such as AISA activists forming a human inside the SL premises and physically preventing students from crossing over to the side where those who wanted to vote against the Report were supposed to assemble. The AISA cannot disown political responsibility for the unfortunate incident of the breaking of the glass panes of the SL buildings door. Resorting to such lumpenism which used to be practised only by the ABVP in our campus would only help the right-wing forces who feel suffocated in the democratic traditions of our campus. Most condemnably, the AISA has sought to make use of the hostel crisis as a means to curtail the exercise of the students democratic right to respond to issues concerning themselves. The practice of forcing students to vote in favour of the Convenors Reports in exchange for letting them stay in AISA activists rooms is nothing but a recreation of the age-old feudal practice of the rentier class extracting tribute from the subordinate castes and classes. But the students spirit of speaking up for their rights was alive in all School GBMs, as the students raised issues such as the Unions inaction and meek capitulation to the administration on the issue of hostels, the Unions total silence on the demand to increase MCMs and a host of other issues. The attack on the GSCASH by the AISAs JNUSU office-bearers as well as the various instances of the violation of democratic norms by JNUSU office-bearers and School Convenors from AISA came in for thorough criticism. .

.

Let Us Reclaim the Fighting Traditions of the JNU Student Movement! .

Ever since the JNUSU Elections were restored in 2012, we have seen AISA-led/AISA-majority Unions betraying students struggles and surrendering to the administration without even a fight. Many students would be wondering whether the JNUSU was always this reluctant to intensify struggles when the administration refuses point blank to heed to students demands. It is instructive in this juncture to look back at the history of the JNUSU. .

The JNUSU had played a pioneering role in the formulation of a unique admission policy in the early 1970s itself, which provided deprivation points to students from deprived socio-economic backgrounds and to those hailing from backward regions in the entrance examination. From then onwards, the JNUSU (which was led for the most number of years by SFI) has stood as a powerful instrument of struggle in the hands of the JNU students, from leading active resistance against brutal repression during the Emergency to the struggle in the campus against the communal-fascist forces which were gaining strength in the country during the second half of the 1990s and the early 2000s. Attempts to saffronise education, reflected in moves like the proposal to introduce courses such as Human consciousness, were defeated by the strength of the movement led by the SFI-led Union in 2001-02. .

Ensuring a safe and enabling environment for students in the campus has always been a priority for the JNU students movement. It was after a massive struggle led by the SFI-led union in 1999 that the construction of new hostels from Tapti to Chandrabhaga began. During this struggle, following a 14-day hunger strike, 63 students were arrested and 14 students including 3 office-bearers of the JNUSU were illegally detained in Tihar jail for three days. All sections of the JNU community had risen in unison against the high-handedness of the administration, which had to back down and accept the demands of the students. .

The last time when the MCM scholarship amount was increased as a result of an agitation was in 2006 the MCM agitation of that year was envisaged and led by the JNUSU office-bearers from SFI. Following the agitation, the administration was forced to enhance the MCM scholarship amount for BA and MA students from Rs. 600 to Rs. 1500. .

The struggle for gender justice got a tremendous boost in the campus with the formation of the GSCASH, which was the result of a prolonged agitation led by the SFI-led Union. On the eve of the International Womens Day in 1997 on behalf of the JNUSU, a state level convention (inaugurated by Capt. Lakshmi Sehgal) was held, where the Union presented a students draft for a Committee Against Sexual Harassment. After discussions and agitations that lasted for many months, the GSCASH was set up, two years later, on March 8, 1999. .

At a time when students are faced with the biggest hostel crisis in the recent decades, and when gender justice is facing attacks from those who are supposed to defend it, it is important that we reclaim the fighting traditions of the students movement in our campus. As part of continuing efforts in that direction, SFI invites one and all to tonights public meeting in Godavari mess. .
