Another instance where a longer zoom was much coveted - these red-bellied macaws are flying off from a nest excavated in a Moriche palm trunk.

Le Tribunal de Grande Instance, Bordeaux.

Yet another instance of casting about rather close to midnight to find *anything* to get in a shot for the day. I installed a light fixture that gives a yellowish tint to the light, which makes the compact fluorescent lighting appear slightly warmer, but which really discolors any photos taken in that light. I used the "Fade Color" effect on iPhoto 08 to somewhat mitigate the weird lighting. It kinda gives a vintage cast that seems appropriate to the fixture.

THE SUITES

The suites are wonderfully roomy and all have a fantastic view over the lagoon of Knysna. Each also features a comfortably furnished and also very spacious luxury bathroom in cutting design with under-floor heating and double washbasin. You’ll be sleeping in a comfortable extra length king size double beds, all fitted with quality bedclothes and feather comforters and pillows.

All suites of this Guest House / Bed & Breakfast have a high definition LCD 32” TV Set complete with an array of Satellite Channels and DVD player as well as tea and coffee makers. To add, the suites hold further surprises, such as a private balcony/terrace and some even a hydro massage tub for instance. Personalized Bathroom Amenities, Hair Dryers, Bathrobes and Electronic Safes are also provided for each suite for your enjoyment and comfort.

Squash and stretch is the first of the 12 basic principles. This is particularly important when it comes to portraying the weight of a character. For instance the speed of a landing would make a heavy character squash up small. In the picture here we can see a tall character squashing small in anticipation for the jump and then stretching out to make the final leap. This is very good for putting emphasis on animations.

Next is anticipation, adding this can really make a character look realistic. as i have just explained in squash and stretch, using the act of bending the legs and pulling the arms back before the jump really adds anticipation and therefore realism into the act.

Staging is very important for making the audience look at the centre of attention. For instance if you had a very detailed animation that you wanted the viewer to concentrate on, it would be quite pointless if it was just a small object or something in the background of a scene of off to the side. This would be pointless effort if you didn't get the staging right.

Straight ahead action and pose to pose - I think that using pose to pose would be a much better idea for animation a 3D model. This is because it will save lots of time and the 3D software will most probably be able to fill in the missing poses for you, as long as you map out the main stages.

Using the Follow through animation technique is very good for creating a realistic animation. It shows that not all humans act like robots and that they do have many free flowing parts that will move in relation to their weight. Overlapping action will show the same kind of thing, because arms and legs do not move perfectly in line, in fact then all move opposite to each other.

Slowing in and slowing out, again, is a way of stopping humanoid characters look like robots. This is because we all have to gather speed from a standing position, and nobody can come to a sudden holt after sprinting. These things all need to be considered when animating.

Arcs are the next rule, and without this rule characters would be sprinting at full speed then suddenly turning at a 90 degree angle whilst continuing at full speed, clearly this is not possible and so characters and objects must ark realisticly.

Secondary actions are great ways of adding small pieces of detail. a walk cycle wouldn't look complete if only the legs were moving, things like the arms swaying and hips bobbing up and down wouldn't take away the main idea of the cycle, but could add so much more detail.

Timing is crucial to the making of a quality animation. Sometimes, if the timing is out by even the slightest it can completely change the way something looks. A high percentage of a characters appearance is based on the way the actions are timed, a slow character could be bored or tired, and a fast one could be full of energy or frightened.

Exaggeration is a great way of making animations fun to watch whilst at the same time keeping to the rules and making a character portray the correct feelings. For instance, if a character is alarmed, instead of moving the head back a small amount, The character could jump a metre backwards and shake in fear.

A solid drawing can be a great help to an animator if they need to see both sides of a character. It can give a great sense of perspective as well.

It is important for a character to have a certain appeal, no matter what it is. It could be an evil darkness that appeals people, or a loving funny personality. These bring a character out and make them unique.

What you see before you is the latest London location for Burger & Lobster (*fanfair* the global phenomenon!) I think this is number 9 though I may be wrong. These are the (Russian?) guys behind the Goodman steakhouses, and so you could say that they know a little something about meat, at the least! As for the aesthetic of the placeâ¦very American, I dunno if âCrabshackâ would be the right word, but the rustic wood, oldschool filament lamps and lobster cages on the walls come pretty close.

Itâs a strange one, this place, the menu basically has three mains - a whole lobster, a burger and what I guess is simply a lobster roll (cold lobster, warm meat - strong combination). No menu for food at all - you just pick one of the three. As your waiter/waitress may tell you - we âonly do three things, but we do them wellâ. Every meal comes with a side salad (tastes legit due to cheese and other unhealthy things) and a reasonable portion of fries (which are, dare I say, a dead ringer for those youâd get at McDonalds). Lobsters are sourced fresh from Nova Scotia and Maine (I think?), depending on season. As far as lobsters go, I have eaten lobsters all over the US and these areâ¦.pretty close to how I remember (ask for it steamed instead of grilled for full fishy lobster flavoursâ¦)

As this is a relatively new location, theyâre not quite as rammed as I hear the other ones can get (yet!). 3 hour queues? Apparently people will put up with such things. As for queuing up for 3 hours for a restaurant? I love food but you wonât see me doing that. Ever. Not ever. Spend more time waiting than eating? REALLY?! Who does that? OK, Iâll stop. Onto their pricing: £20 is a bit steep for a burger but for a lobster it feels like a bargain. Though the âno reservationâ system seems pretentious, the actual dining experience, thankfully, does not feel quite the same way. From what I saw, staff are super chill, and you eat off of trays instead of plates (which is either pretentious or unpretentious, I dunno). Idea: you could theoretically eat here âeconomicallyâ by getting a lobster to split between the two of you (provided you werenât hugely hungry). And buy more drinks and desserts. Said desserts and drinks are a...reasonable selection, reasonably priced - I suppose about average for London. They do quite a few cocktails, I think 17 last time I checked.

Part of the fun is, obviously, eating the lobster with the cracking tools they provide (your patience is rewarded by access to the delicious parts of the flesh hidden in the deep recesses of the exoskeleton). Eating lobster is actually not as hard, nor messy, as people think it is. You simply crack the joints with the dangerous implements they provide you (in this instance, the âWestmark Crackyâ, lol). This is a legit place to go with friends and loved ones - a lot of fun. It is, however, not a good place to take new business acquaintances or potential romantic connections. Eating with a bib whilst pieces of crustacean fly everywhere probably isnât a good look (though I could be wrong!). Before anyone asks, no, you donât get to choose which lobster youâre going to eat from the tanks (which I am grateful for - I donât think I am quite ready to confront the reality of choosing exactly what has to die to feed me. Goddamn...)

All in all, good food, nice location - none of this speedy table turnover and frenetic rushing I read about in some other reviews. So yeah, a somewhat minimalist approach to restaurateuring which delivers upon its promise of burger and/or lobster. If they keep their lobster pricing the same, I will most certainly be back. Well done to you, (possibly Russian) people of Burger and Lobster!

This is a cholla cactus, and I had many encounters with these guys when I lived in Joshua Tree. For instance, when these plants die, they kind of break apart. One day at the bus stop, someone was playing around with a broken segment and they managed to throw it on my arm. Ouch -- it stuck on my wrist, which then lead to little red bumps to form that took a year to disappear. Weird.

The Court of First Instance of the European Communities (CFI), in its fourth ruling over the past two years, rejected a request by the EU Council and France to delay implementation of the December 4 court ruling on the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI [MEK]) until the deadline to submit an appeal against the ruling has ended. It described their demand as "clearly unacceptable" and ordered the Council to pay all legal costs incurred by the PMOI (MEK).

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect said that the fourth European Court ruling in favor of the PMOI and against the unlawful Council decisions leaves the EU with no remedy but to immediately accept the ruling and admit that the PMOI (MEK)had been out of the list since December 4. She added that there is nothing the EU Council could do to prevent implementation of the ruling. She hoped that the EU would immediately comply with the Court's decision and prevent further disgrace for itself.

The domestic cat[1][2] (Felis catus[2] or Felis silvestris catus[4]) is a small, usually furry, domesticated, and carnivorous mammal. It is often called the housecat when kept as an indoor pet,[6] or simply the cat when there is no need to distinguish it from other felids and felines. Cats are often valued by humans for companionship and their ability to hunt vermin and household pests.

Cats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with strong, flexible bodies, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cat senses fit a crepuscular and predatory ecological niche. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals. They can see in near darkness. Like most other mammals, cats have poorer color vision and a better sense of smell than humans.

Despite being solitary hunters, cats are a social species, and cat communication includes the use of a variety of vocalizations (mewing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling and grunting) as well as cat pheromones and types of cat-specific body language.[7]

Cats have a rapid breeding rate. Under controlled breeding, they can be bred and shown as registered pedigree pets, a hobby known as cat fancy. Failure to control the breeding of pet cats by neutering, and the abandonment of former household pets, has resulted in large numbers of feral cats worldwide, requiring population control.[8]

Since cats were cult animals in ancient Egypt, they were commonly believed to have been domesticated there,[9] but there may have been instances of domestication as early as the Neolithic from around 9500 years ago (7500 BC).[10]

A genetic study in 2007 concluded that domestic cats are descended from African wildcats (Felis silvestris lybica) c. 8000 BC, in the Near East.[9][11] According to Scientific American, cats are the most popular pet in the world, and are now found in almost every place where humans live

Another instance of bad reflections in the glass, but all things considered it's come out all right.

Lived in by an elderly couple, this little house was left by the Husband after his wife sadly passed away. He just couldn't bare to be there without her. All over the house, are photographic memories that he left behind. Stories and experiences he chose not to see again. His life in pictures.

Instances like these give you a real sense of tragedy. A hard choice he made, one where he decided he didn't want to collect his memories. Other people would be different, but I guess they were too hard for him to see.

When he decided that deserting his house and belongings was easier than living there alone, it just goes to show how much he adored his wife. I'm not sure where he is now, or if he's even still alive... That's one thing I'll probably never know.

On another note, this is one of my favorite photos to date, and the reason I do what I do. I like to be told a story by the location. The reasons behind everything that lead to these places being deserted. On the rare occasion, like this one, I sadly didn't need to imagine, because I knew.

Although not everything we discovered we knew about.

May be we have learnt every mathematics’ concepts for our day today life from British education. But seegiriya and its related technologies might be good instances what press us to reconsider about our own srilankan techniques.

One day, for instance, when she was speaking of her four thorns, she said to the little prince:

"Let the tigers come with their claws!"

"There are no tigers on my planet," the little prince objected. "And, anyway, tigers do not eat weeds."

"I am not a weed," the flower replied, sweetly.

"Please excuse me . . ."

"I am not at all afraid of tigers," she went on, "but I have a horror of drafts. I suppose you wouldn't have a screen for me?"

"A horror of drafts--that is bad luck, for a plant," remarked the little prince, and added to himself, "This flower is a very complex creature . . ." (Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Little Prince)

I am not exactly sure why but roses have fascinated me over the last few weeks - they are immensely beautiful beings. Well, their time is almost over now, and the last few buds may not survive the first cold nights...
