Using an adapted anglers' landing net pole to send a long line up into a tree. A weight is tied to the end, so that this can pull the line over a branch. A vane trap is then attached to the line and subsequently hauled high up into the tree.

This is the Roady of course. I wrapped the cables in a mesh tube. Thats the one wire you see in the bottom left of the cradle. It looks REALLY nice with the wires bundled.

So Saturday night and I am awake as I work nightshift alot. Everyone was asleep so this was a good time to tinker with the PC. I connected it up to my 40" LCD in the sitting room as this has a network cable access usually used for my Xbox. Also connected a spare usb keyboard and plugged in my live xbmc usb. I had used another live usb maker called LiLi but this didnt work at all so I went with UNet booting. I hit the power button and it just booted right up to a screen asking me if I wanted to see what it was like first or if I wanted to install it on the HD. I went for the install straight away as I have seen XBMC in action before but for others that have not and want a trial run you can live boot it from here on your pc or laptop. A good tip if you are installing it is when it asks you for a name and password just put in xbmc. It asks you this a few times and yes its a weak password but believe me its easy to remember. It might be a while before you have to log in again and it will avoid confusion. I found a good guide here - www.mini-itx.com/projects/xbmc-ion/module/4

This is another of my Dichotomy series, installed as a mural in the lobby of an assisted living facility in the Pittsburgh area. For this piece a bridge reflected on the river was superimposed over a monochrome image of Pittsburgh's downtown skyline.

The first mold attached to the building frame was in the middel of the boat. It was carefully located on a station line which is a carefully measured distance from the end of the boat. Two braces were set in the center. Notice that two other molds had to be laid roughly in place so that the braces would already go through them when they were set in place. This was a little puzzle to assemble. The notch to hold the keel can be seen at the top.
