Late March ... 2024
Just to the east of Beaver City Nebraska we encounter of first of many to come storms of 2024...
Dark storm clouds loom ominously over a rural highway, creating a dramatic contrast with the lighter horizon in the distance. The roadside is lined with barren fields, hinting at an open, desolate landscape that enhances the storm's impending approach.
Not may pics to display due to I was driving & when I wasn't I was playing with some new tech. What I did capture was of course right what I was looking for.

First time I've used it on the plane. Flew today and edited it this evening. I'm slowly getting to grips with the brilliant and mostly intuitive software.
This angle on a Yellowstone hot spring was not taken with a drone (which would be illegal inside the national park) but with a 360 camera on its 10-foot carbon-fiber pole, giving a unique overview angle on a lovely bubbling pool.
An unnamed hot spring in Yellowstone, taken with an Insta360 camera on its ten-foot extension pole. I think this one could be a pretty good replacement for old Morning Glory Pool, which is now discolored due to decades of vandalism.

With INSTA360 One RS 1"" - the little toy has a remarkable image quality due to the 1 inch sensor and the Leica support and enables amazing perspectives. No drone shot - just a 3m tripod pole.
I photographed a nice patch of yellow flowers with a 360-degree camera, then morphed the resulting panorama into an inverse mini planet, creating this tunnel, or flume, effect.

A "mini planet" taken at Drake Park in Bend, OR on a sunny fall day. I used the Insta360 camera and morphed the resulting panorama into a mini planet projection. This yellow-leaf tree was a few yards from the Deschutes river, which you can see in the image ringing the leaf-strewn ball of the "planet". You can also see trees and a house from the opposite riverbank reflected in the calm river water.
Grenlandsbrua is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Frierfjord in southern Norway, connecting Bamble and Porsgrunn via the E18 highway. The bridge features a single central tower with cables fanning out symmetrically to support the deck. In this image, the bridge is captured from the driver's perspective, with a vehicle approaching in the opposite lane. The sky is overcast, casting a soft, diffused light over the scene. The color palette is subdued, with cool grays and hints of warm tones from a vintage-style filter, adding a nostalgic atmosphere. Hills and industrial structures are visible in the background, while the fjord flows quietly beneath the span.
I have three new reviews on the site! One is from this new Insta360 camera (Review at www.stuckincustoms.com/insta360-review/) I use for video and strange photos like this. The second review is for Screenflow Pro, which I use to edit videos at www.stuckincustoms.com/screenflow-review/ The third review is about a bit more of a niche product called Wirecast at www.stuckincustoms.com/wirecast-review/ . Enjoy!
My wife needed a dahlia fix so we went to a giant dahlia farm about 3 hours from Bend yesterday. When she wasn't getting chased by bees she took some pics, and I took some too. For some reason, bees don't hassle me; maybe it's my cologne - Eau de Raid. Anyway, here's me standing among some dahlias as captured by my 360-degree camera, and morphed into a mini planet. Because other planets are looking pretty good these days, by comparison.
