We are at The Victory Show, a WWII re-enactment show.
After the re-enactment battle, the barrel is being cleaned. This involved using a very long stick to pull back a bristled brush on the end of a piece of rope.
The M36 tank destroyer, formally 90 mm Gun Motor Carriage, M36, was an American tank destroyer used during World War II. It was known as Jackson or Slugger by the British, after the Confederate general Stonewall Jackson. American soldiers usually referred to them as TDs for 'tank destroyers'. The M36 first served in combat in Europe in September 1944, and served until the end of the war; it also served during the Korean War, and in the armies of several other countries.

Jess' Nike+ insert. Pretty cool. The insoles on the shoes are a little thin and Jessica mentioned possibly getting some new ones as they wore down.
My inspiration for this page began with garments created by Japanese textile designer Itchiku Kubota. He compressed silk in various ways to resist dye. The white fern design over the model's shoulder is an example of areas he bound before dyeing. I referred to a scarf I had screen printed with a fern exposed to the screen and cut some fern shapes from the watercolor paper. The two stitched samples on the left were my experiments to fill the shapes. The padded satin stitch was cumbersome and did not create enough dimension. I chose to use the ruching technique which, in fact, when tied tightly resembled a leaf structure. I created a design problem for myself by not planning the whole composition before starting to stitch. So I stewed over that for a few days until I found a beautiful hydrangea flower which suggested groupings of web stitches. The punctured holes, however, seemed softer than the webs and more like the flower, so I left them.

Colour advertising insert in a late Victorian magazine promoting Pears Soap.
Pears were famous for their campaigns, pioneering a new style of eye-catching advertising that was more visuals than text. When I came across this, it was really startling and modern-looking compared to the cramped and 'busy' ads in the rest of the magazine.
Do not use without my permission. Even if it is 'just for facebook'. If you take my photos without asking, this is stealing, and I will report you.

This part was insulator plate for Transmission control module that went into GM vehicles. The insert-molded leadframe is separated during the molding process, and retractable pins hold leadframe in place during molding process and pull back at end of fill to eliminate exposed leadframe to transmission fluid.
