another image for my lyrical photography class-- still working on archetypes. our new assignment is self-portraits, and given the state of the virus and the lack of models, this gets to exactly why and how I came to make self-portraits in the first place-- when I have energy and time to make images, I am always available. :) this is a test shot with a linen collar that I designed and sewed together yesterday. I think it's going to make a lovely prop :-)

It was a wet dreary day on Friday, so I knew I'd have the beach to myself. As I descended the ladders that I'd put in the cliffs in 1978, I saw that there was a good selection of driftwood on the strand line. I thought I'd do figures instead of my normal boats , so this couple quickly danced and played on the wet sand. the Innocents is by Low

This looks like a lovely grove of trees glowing in the sunlight, doesn't it? While I was taking this shot, I was a mercilessly attacked by wasps. Evidently I stood too close to their nest. I was given over 30 stings! Luckily I had an epi-pen. It took two weeks for the stinging and itching to go completely away. Mass quantities of Benedryl pills and cream helped me through this travail. I am much more careful to watch my step now.
