Is this the expression of an innocent creature?
Last December, on my way to my hometown, I stayed at a rural hotel (as mentioned in recently posted photos).
Upon reaching the last available chalet, to everyone's surprise, there was no electricity to run the TV, air conditioning, refrigerator or all the available lamps and sockets.
A few minutes later when the electrician arrived and checked the electrical grid on the roof, he came across this creature that had gnawed about one meter of a tangle of seven eletric wires.
Known as "Maritaca" / Psittacara leucophthalmus is an extremely noisy parrot species that seems to have an identity conflict, as it behaves like one of the most efficient rodents, making it a nightmare for rural producers.
It's common also in urban environment where, in addition to waking everyone up just after sunrise (always flying in pairs or groups chatting loudly and happily), in the absence of anything else to do, they gnaw wood roofs, electrical wires and whatever else they find on the way.
So I ask again: is this the expression of an innocent creature? Or guilty but with no regrets?
This is a very old photo that I took many years ago in Bulgaria with a weak cell phone camera. So the quality is not good, but the picture never let go of me. The girl belongs to the Sinti or Roma minority when she saw us, she came to the fence of her property and looked curiously at my son.
I knew they came from India, but I didn't know the difference between Sinti and Roma. Now I read an explanation from the Association of German Sinti and Roma e. V .:
"Sinti and Roma have lived in Europe for centuries. In their respective home countries, they form historically evolved minorities who call themselves 'Sinti' or 'Roma'. 'Sinti' are the members of the minority who are predominantly in Western and Eastern Europe Central Europe, 'Roma' mostly live in Eastern and Southeastern European countries. Outside of the German-speaking area, 'Roma' is used as a name for the entire minority. "

Mike used to be a seasonal hunter before he met me. I then told him that if he wasn't going to eat it, he shouldn't hunt it. He switched to fishing which is mostly catch for me to photograph and release.

I was lining up this shot for the next available opportunity and this young lad stepped into the frame with his yellow drink, Minions "I Didn't Do It" shirt and that eye contact.
