Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s new injectable acoustic fish tag is so small it can be inserted into a fish with a syringe. About half of the tag contains a tiny 3-volt battery (grey, on left side), while the other half holds a small circuit board and a transducer (gold cylinder on right), which makes a beeping noise that helps scientists track a tagged fish’s movements.

The nozzle of a car’s fuel injector sprays gasoline through tine holes, designed to create as fine a mist as possible so that the fuel burns better. Researchers at Argonne National Laboratory, attempting to make the engine even more efficient, reduced the size of the holes to less than the size of a single human hair. This is a nozzle with eight holes—polished from the tip down to reveal a flower-like pattern—as seen under a microscope. The dark areas are the holes, the yellow area is the iron nozzle, and the petals are the nickel-phosphorus material used to reduce the size of the holes. Photo by Nicholaos Demas.

GCR Loughborough station. BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 78019 standing in the platform. You can see that the boiler makes steam like a kettle, the pressure gauge on the right is almost redlining but the fire is so low it looks like it is hardly keeping my tea hot.
Uh oh! Injector jam! This is one of the more annoying ones. You have ~30 seconds allowed to clear it.
Recreating this as a clickable image map is about as exciting as the training development got.
BACKSTORY: We got to go on a 'field trip' at work, driving back from L'Enfant Plaza, Washington D.C. (where I worked) to Merrifield,VA (very close to where I live). I got to take pictures. I don't think that we really used them that much, except as a secondary reference for mail sorting machine control panels and such.

APR Front Bumper Canards are the perfect answer to aerodynamically tune the handling for the front of a car. Made of lightweight and durable carbon graphite composites, APR Front Bumper Canards help increase front downforce at high speeds. The added down force stabilizes the cars chassis during hard cornering and increases traction for faster lap times.
Features:
Carbon Fiber Construction
These Front Bumper Canards are composed of layers of carbon fiber sheets and a carbon graphite core for lightweight and strength.
Aluminum Edging
Each Front Bumper Canard comes with aluminum edging to restrict air flow from easily running off the edge of the canard.
Mounting Hardware Included
Support brackets, screws, and bolts are all included to allow you to install the APR Front Bumper Canards to your car.
APR Vortex Generators help to guide the airflow on cars with very steep drop-off angles between the roof and the rear window. Air flow has a tendency to become turbulent as it separates from the surface of the car in this region. This turbulent air causes drag and reduces the effectiveness of a rear wing. The APR Vortex Generator helps to reduce drag and improve the effectiveness of the rear wing by delaying the air flow separation and reducing turbulence.

"Propaganda does not deceive people; it merely helps them to deceive themselves."
-Eric Hoffer
“Propaganda is neutrally defined as a systematic form of purposeful persuasion that attempts to influence the emotions, attitudes, opinions, and actions of specified target audiences for ideological, political or commercial purposes through the controlled transmission of one-sided messages (which may or may not be factual) via mass and direct media channels.”
— Richard Alan Nelson, A Chronology and Glossary of Propaganda in the United States
