Influencers’ trip to Prague, Czech Republic
As part of the #ShapeYourFuture campaign, implemented by EU NEIGHBOURS east, 12 influencers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine travelled to Riga and Prague on 16-22 June to learn how these countries have benefited from being part of the EU.
Participants visited the European Commission Representations in Latvia and Czechia, met local influencers Patricia Vavilova and Rozárie Haškovcová, and learned how governments and NGOs are developing strategies to address disinformation and integrate state activities into a coherent communicative narrative.

MAC representatives Hala Moddelmog, president and CEO, Anup Shah, vice president of Environmental Affairs and Nancy Whatley, vice president of Entrepreneurial Development were featured speakers at the National Black and Latino Council “Power & Influence” networking luncheon. The group provided an overview of MAC’s five-year strategic plan, discussed the business benefits of going green and provided insight on how to connect with the chamber.
The premise of this project was to choose one aspect of American society that was influenced by at least four International cultures. I choose to research different types of sciences that were the beginning of our health care system. The Egyptians were the first ones who incorporated math and recorded keeping into their medical practices. The Arabs were the first culture to use hospitals, rather than going to their homes for treatment. Acupuncture was a Chinese practice but was brought over to our country and still used today. The last stamp of the series was the study of Evolution studied by Charles Darwin which changed the way we looked at the human body.
